The product (lower) had too thick of of friction material to fit properly within the clutch rotor. This caused it to bind, and thus be engaged even at 0 rpm. Because it could not disengage, any resistance on the drive wheel (braking or being dropped onto the ground off the kickstand) caused the motor to stall. I had to remove quite a bit of friction material before it would free spin freely at idle inside the clutch rotor. After doing so, it seemed to work but we shall what performance we get out of it.
