This battery fits in my PSP and works as well as the original battery, but I cannot install the battery cover with this battery installed. Due to this, the battery can fall out and cause the PSP to turn off, which is a major inconvenience. This battery would work well as an emergency backup battery.

My PSP 3000 slim battery started building. If you know anything about lithium batteries. Is not good. Compared to the OEM battery which is 3.6V 1200mAh, this battery is 3.6V 2000mAh. That is an extra 800mAh capacity over the original. Not too bad. But because of this, the battery is bigger than the OEM. I did find that it fits very snugly and does take a little extra force to remove. I received the batter with a 60% charge.I needed a replacement and having one with extra capacity is great.Overall I like this product and have not run into any issues so far.

This battery pack fits really tightly, and I decided to just use it the way it is, because I don't plan to take it out and put it back often. But if you plan to regularly remove the battery when not in use to extend its life, you can file down the small tab under the thumb tab on the battery. The tab is a touch too big, and makes the battery really difficult to remove without a pry tool. If you do try to file down the small tab, then try to be careful to not damage the thumb tab. I have a PSP-300x, but others report this same problem with the 2000.I don't remember how much run time I could get out of the fresh original battery, but this one arrived with 60% remaining, and I'll do a test later of how long a full charge lasts. In any case, I feel that this is a pretty good battery. This is a review of JUBOTY PSP 2000/3000 Battery, 2000mAh 3.6V Lithium Ion New Upgrade High Capacity Battery Pack for Sony PSP 2000/3000 PSP-S110 Console PSP-3001 PSP-3002 PSP-3000 PSP-3004 PSP-2001 PSP-2002 PSP-2003

We’ve had a PSP in the electronics box in the attic for a decade, so I finally decided to pull it out for the kids on our road trip. Problem is when I opened it up, the battery had exploded inside. So thankfully I found this product as an affordable replacement. I received it quickly and just in time for our road trip. Thankfully it’s a perfect fit and it fully recharged the old PSP. Kids had a lot of fun playing those old games, works great thanks to this replacement battery.Thank you for reading and I hope you find this review and the pictures helpful in making a purchasing decision.

This battery resurrected my PSP. Old battery started swelling and had to be tossed. It shipped quickly and was plug and play. Feels awesome to be playing God of War on the PSP again!

Works great for my PSP2000 and has a battery life like an OEM new battery from Sony (way back in the day). The only downside is that it feel a bit tighter than the OEM battery which makes swapping battery a bit cumbersome. It would be perfect if you only intend to keep the battery in the console.

This battery pack is very tight, but this is by design. If you look very close, you'll see a small tab under the thumb tab on the battery. If you pay attention, when you press the battery down, it will snap, when that little tab locks into place. The problem is, that tab is just a hair too big, and it makes the battery so tight, that I can't remove it with my thumb nail (which are unusually thick, and I use as a tool for opening many things). I want it to lock into place, but I don't want it so tight that I can't get it out without tools. BTW, the easiest way to use a tool (spudger) to remove the battery, is to slip it down vertically, just a tiny bit, to the left of the thumb tab (on the opposite side of the battery's power connectors), and use it like a lever. If you do try to file down the small tab, then try to be careful to not damage the thumb tab. I have a PSP-2000, but others report this same problem with the 3000.Sadly, I can't test the life of this battery against the original battery, and I don't remember how much run time I could get out of the fresh original battery. Of course, what I'm doing with my PSP would affect how fast it sucks down batteries. In any case, I feel the battery life is good, and I'm happy with it.

I had a PSP 3000 in storage without a battery. I got this, took the battery out the packaging, dropped it right into the PSP, and it worked! I noticed a sticker on the PSP said PSP 3006 and I was curious what the battery sticker said on the PSP, but when I went to remove this battery it was like it clipped into place incredibly well! I've had PSPs and different batteries before, and never had any of them clip in anywhere near that well if at all. I've had PSP battery doors come off unexpectedly though, so it's good knowing this battery isn't going anywhere for game save states! The battery eventually came out with a little pry with a screwdriver on the top plastic tab area.Charges to 100% with a random aftermarket adapter no problem and hold charge during some games and idle. Not useful for Pandora unless you have an older PSP that lets you write to the battery EEPROM (not sure if this battery is locked or what it reports for the serial as-is), along with an older PSP 2000 model (there's easier software methods nowadays).
