Hanger bolts are double ended fasteners with a wood screw on one end and a machine screw on the other. A hole needs to be pre-drilled for the wood screw side. They are perfect for knockdown furniture as the machine screw end accepts a standard nut that be easily removed. Furniture with two sided wood screws cannot be disassembled and reassembled without stripping out the hole. Hanger bolts are commonly used in the assembly of bed frames or to attach table legs.

I bought these specifically because the product description listed the exterior finish as unfinished plain steel however the product I received is clearly labeled 'zinc plated' which makes them unusable for my project.

They went in easily. Not a problem at all. I used them to make a bench and will use them to make chairs in the future

First one broke off in the oak furniture foot I was installing. The shipping on the screws was super fast. Shipping on the foot was about 5 weeks. Delivery on this christmas gift is due in a week. Do not buy these if you're installing in a hard material.

Made mistake of getting fine threads for but to screw on instead of the coarse thread I needed.I learned more about screw threads, so make sure you know if you need fine or coarse threads.Ordered the correct course thread hanger bolts from same seller
