The POWERTEC 2-1/2" to 2-1/4" Cone Reducer allows you to connect 4" port to a 2-1/2" hose or a 2-1/2" port to a 4" hose. The 2-1/2" opening also allows you to fit Shop-Vac, Sears and a variety of other wet/dry vacuum cleaners. Simple to install, use and uninstall for the utmost in ease, performance and reliability.

PLEASE NOTE: The nominal 2-1/4” OD is tapered on the low end of the tolerance and works best with undersized ports. Please closely check the listed dimensions to verify that they will work for your application.

Almost did buy, another review said it didn't fit Ridgid shop vac. However, with the connector for the two hoses that came with my vacuum it work great!!! Love it !!

Inside diameter of nominal 2.5 inch end is too small to accommodate Ridgid hose.

2 1/4" is a standard male connector for a shop vac type hose. This doesn't provide a snug fit into sawdust outlets on bench tools or vacuum accessories and therefore is useless. Gotta say I'm not impressed with the other powertec adapter (2 1/2' to 4") either.

Purchased this to connect my bandsaw’s under-table dust port to a 2.5” hose. It is sturdy and thick. The smaller male end of this adapter fits loosely but just enough to not fall off the bandsaw port. The outer diameter of the larger/female end of this adapter matches 2.5” connectors due to the thickness of the adapter wall it ends up being too small to receive a standard 2.5” male hose cuff.
