Great solution to making that 240v socket usable with 120 appliances. Just make sure you have a NEMA 10-50 3 blade wall socket. We have one in the living room of our older home and the options have been to either not use it, or to have an electrician rewire it, nether solutions are practical at the moment. This was a good value solution to that problem. We are now able to use the outlet, and for my wife's peace of mind it obviously has the required safety protections to prevent it drawing too much power. It will split out into four outlets, two on either side. The cable is 1.5' long, which is perfect for us as it allows it to be more easily hidden. All in all it is a substantially made piece of equipment.

This is definitely something nice to have incase the only outlet thats near you is made for soemthing like this to plug into giving you 2 regular outlets to use for, vaccum, fan, lights, table saw, so on. Its wored properly and works great! Very good value for money especially for the uses you can use for this as well as it allowing you to help provide you with two outlets which could help or be beneficial.Highly recommend this, definitely worth just having just in case you ever need to use it, it comes in handly! Great product, great quality and its durable!

Used this when rehabbing a small condo for my senior mother, no need for a large range or cooktop, this allowed to split the circuit to 120v for smaller cooking appliances. The only thing though i find confusing is listing states max 5000 watts, 2500 watts/leg. But the cord rating is max 3750 watts so err on the side of caution what max combined watts are you're plugging into this.

I have an old dryer high voltage receptacle in my garage there was left there by the prior owner where he kept his washer and dryer I personally now use it to power my welders and often wished that I had additional 110 outlets in my garage it is lacking upon the advice of a friend he said that they do make adapters of which I had no idea they made when I found this on Amazon I ordered it immediately I want to came I was pleasantly surprised and now I can plug into the old dryer outlet and have two additional 120 volt receptacles at my disposal so now I can use my welder with the same receptacle for high voltage and when I'm done welding I can plug in my adapter and have two additional 110 volt outlets to do any of the more mundane project in the house like vacuuming the car carpet or trimming the bushes just the thought of having an additional 110 outlet is great I can't believe how heavily built this adapter really is made the functionality of it is amazing being able to go from high voltage to low voltage by simply plugging in this adapter considering the cost of having an electrician come to convert everything over I would also consider it a great value for your money this adapter is extremely well made and heavy duty the cord is bright yellow which are kind of like in the box is black the court however is not very flexible because it is so thick and heavy duty I personally don't have a problem with that I actually like it but it's something to consider I definitely recommend this to anybody who is looking to convert an old dryer receptacle to two 110 volt outlets without having to call electrician simply plug and play

I seriously was hesitant to use this without checking with my buddy who knows a little more about electrical circuits and electronics. I know it'll work persay but I want to be safe and not burn my place down because I'm afraid of asking questions. I found out that I was completely correct in getting this for my NEMA port. I actually have an older outlet that was used for Air-conditioning. Once summer is gone I was thinking about using this electrical outlet for a heater. (Because the old A/C hole with windows is cooler near there). I have no doubt this will be valuable and functional for my needs. I do like the build quality and the quality of the materials. Proves to be a great value for sure. Plus now I'm more comfortable with not thinking about anything dangerous happening.
