The lid is made with thin plastic it cracked and become useless, in less than 2 months

I’m replacing a more expensive one that only has a failed (fancy) o-ring seal. This one works great and the spare o-ring is a bonus. Could use some basic instructions for uninitiated.

Purchased this product and received it right before my husband was hospitalized in March, he passed away April 19th. Approximately two weeks later I installed it on my pool and after about 2 weeks noticed my vacuum wasn’t working properly. Discovered the canister had cracked and pieces had broken off creating a problem with the suction of the vacuum. Would not recommend this product. Would have returned it but missed the window of opportunity due to circumstances.

This keeps my pump basket and filter so much cleaner by capturing a lot of the debris before it gets there. And it so easy to dump while you are in the pool. I don't think it is designed to be dumped from outside of the pool. But during the swim season, it would be silly to try.

I have only used it once and it performed well. I would recommend that, if you are concerned enough to use on of these, you pair it with a skimmer sock to catch the finer debris. It is just cheap plastic so I am going to be very careful with it to make sure not to crack or break it. I knocked off a star because it cost me 30 bucks for 50 cents of plastic.

Hi everyone.No need for a photo bc this product looks exactly like the advertised pic.It was easy to install and use & I first lined it with the nylon liners, which I purchased here on Amazon,from another seller--200 liners for $18!! If u want to suction up algae, pebbles or anything else on the bottom of your pool that can fit through those holes in this basket, please line your basket canister with the nylons sold here on Amazon! I vaccuumed for 5-10 min, allowing the lined basket to pick up dead algae and pebbles that wound up on the bottom of my pool after having my patio power washed.Then I used another liner and kept going like this for an hour.After using several liners, I easily rinsed them all out and let them dry..all liners can be used over and over again until they get holes in them. Great product..just wish it cost about$10 less!!
