My old kit died, so I decided to pick up something a bit nicer. I picked this up as the board has many more options than the previous. Board works well and easy to setup and use. Mic seems to be good as well, but I planned on using my existing mic day to day.

You would think that a microphone and mixer bundle that is sold together would be set up so that the microphone is compatible with the mixer. Modern condenser microphones (like this one) require ‘phantom power’, which, by modern standards, is specified in IEC 61938:2018 as 48 volts at 7 to 10 mA. This microphone uses a conventional XLR cable, which is designed to carry phantom power from the mic mixer to the microphone to power a preamp built into the microphone. However, this ‘G9’ mixer does not supply phantom power and is only suitable for microphones that do not require it. That being the case, the microphone will not work with devices that do not supply phantom power, such as phones and PCs.The manual for the mixer provides limited information, and the mixer controls are confusing, not functioning as expected. To use the microphone, you will need an XLR female to XLR male cable (not supplied), and a mixer that will accept the XLR male and supply phantom power. I connected the microphone to a mixer that supplies phantom power, and it works well, producing clear sound. Voices are natural and are reproduced with good fidelity. Unfortunately, this microphone is not compatible with this mixer. The microphone stand is useful and provides isolation for the mic. I gave this bundle two stars, as the microphone is very good (when used with a suitable mixer), even though this mixer ( model G9) cannot be used with this microphone. This is a rather expensive microphone, since the mixer cannot be used with it.

Pretty thrilled with the quality for the price for basic recording functions. Connected to Reaper DAW and Presonus Studio One DAW software quote seamlessly.

I really wanted to like this and hoped to use the TRRS function for cell phone calls in recording, but I had a heck of a time getting Windows to recognize the board. It was not plug and play on any of three PCs. I experimented with sound card drivers until I got it working, but didn't feel secure just using random drivers. The sound quality was just okay, but a lot of that is the microphone, which just isn't very high quality. It is also just okay with a really nice and reliable audio board. Anyhow, I can't use it nor am I comfortable suggesting it. But hopefully I just got a bad one. I really wanted to like this and am bummed I didn't.

As someone completely new to podcasting, this setup made everything so easy! The mic sounds super clear (way better than my laptop mic), and the mixing board is simple to figure out, even if you’ve never used one before. I loved that it came with everything I needed to get started—just plug it in and go. I’ve already recorded a few episodes, and the sound quality is way more professional than I expected for the price. If you’re a beginner looking for an all-in-one podcast kit, this is it. Totally worth it!

I was very hopeful when I received this kit. There were a lot of pieces packed into the box, all neat and tidy. Very well packed. The quality of the microphone's sound was also very good, however, with one major caveat. Otherwise, that's where the positives end.Let's discuss the microphone first. This type of microphone needs a power source typically supplied by the whatever its plugged into. This kit comes with a female end XLR jack to a male 3.5mm jack. The mixer doesn't even come with a male socket that you would need to use the included mic. So it's incompatible already. Now onto the mixer unit itself. First and foremost, it is battery powered. It does not function while plugged in for charging. The included user manual even mentions this short coming. Most use cases this wouldn't be an issue, unless the included equipment requires extra power! Serious whoops by the manufacturer. The preset soundboard clips are all fixed, no editing or modifying. The quality of those sound bites is utterly awful. One of which is clearly lifted from a much longer sound bite, with very poor editing. You can hear the ending of the event just before the bite. When using an actual 3.5mm microphone, the mixer does allow for audio input as it should, as I can hear it from the monitoring outputs. When trying to set up the mixer to a computer, or phone, for voice capture applications, it is indiscoverable. I've tried with a Windows PC and an Android phone. No luck.I wouldn't recommend this kit as it is. The two main pieces of equipment are not compatible. The microphone is nice, but you can get far superior condenser mics for this price point. Look elsewhere.
