The interlocking foam is very stiff and leaves almost no room for a rifle. A rifle with a large scope won't fit, i.e., you can't close the case because the foam is so stiff. I wanted to use it for an old shotgun, but it won't fit that, either. Not bad for my grandson's .22 rifle, but much too long.
