How frustrating. I needed leather straps to complete a project on a deadline. This faux leather is not what I hoped for, but it's what I had to use because of time. It cheapens the overall quality of my finished project, and that is disappointing.

I used this to hold a down rod for a drawing space. It’s held up great and still keeps its shape. The color has not faded at all. It’s a great value for the amount. The thickness was perfect for the project I needed it for.

Thin, embossed leather strap, good for leather craft and patch work. Too thin for a dog collar unless you double it up, which I suppose you can with the quantity you receive. Useful!

Not what was labeled... not true leather

Uniform width, uniform thickness, uniform color, and perfect for my application except for one little detail.It is NOT LEATHER.Fake leather. A sort of tough rubber foam with a pebbled surface and possibly a bonded leather backing. But the backing is only a small percentage of the total. (guessing) About 4/5ths of the bulk of this material is synthetic rubber or plastic. It doesn't even smell like leather.In the USA the Federal Trade Commission has legal requirements for the use of the term "leather" and this product does not meet those requirements. (See "16 CFR part 24"). It's perfectly okay to sell a product like this, but you cannot call it "leather". Not an expert but my guess is "bonded leather product of 20% leather, 80% other substances" would be a legally acceptable description.For my particular use on a costume, it's okay. So going to use this as is. Don't know how well it'll take dye though. Hopefully I won't have to dye it.
