This leather was perfect for making all kinds of rustic gear for my mountain hunting and search and rescue needs. I've used it for chest holsters, axe collars & sheaths, knife sheaths and folding saw pouches. It has held up well to months of harsh direct sunlight and rugged use in the field. I would highly recommend treating your finished pieces using sno-seal.

I use this to make custom knife sheaths. It is very sturdy, clean, easy to dye/stamp. I've tried other thinner, cheaper leathers and they don't work nearly as well and most was used for scrap. This is very nice leather. Very thick, sturdy, and all I've received has been flawless and clean.

This was actually my first leather hand stitching project for some needs around my workshop. This 8oz leather measured between 0.127-0.142 with calipers. Firm but not rock hard. Maybe a bit ambitious for a beginner but it worked out well. Going to make some business card holders/wallets next.

I've bought 5 of these and they've all been great pieces for my projects. Even thickness, dense flesh side, no scratches or slices. Minor skin imperfections to give it character without being ugly.

Leather was uniform in thickness and appearance. Was cut wavy on one side and one end making about an 11”x23” piece usable. Will be okay for the small projects I bought it for.

Mine was free of blemishes and had uniform thickness. Came in a plastic sleeve to protect it. Had a chemical smell which went away after letting it air out. It took the dye really well and cut very cleanly.

I'm new to leather working, and didn't want to spend a boatload on a half shoulder for one knife sheath. The skin side was smooth and consistent, the flesh side did have some imperfections, but that is to be expected. It wet formed nicely, took die evenly, and burnished right up. This is the perfect amount of leather for 1 to 2 projects. Although they aren't a Prime shipper, it did get to me quickly.

I bought this leather to make a grip to go over my Viking Battle Axe. Thickness was uniform. The leather is stiff, however running it under some tap water makes it easy to mold into place. I cut a piece 24 x ~3 inches, punched holes every inch on both sides, wet the leather, wrapped it around the axe handle and laced it up using leather boot laces. Once dry, I dyed it with Fiebings dark brown alcohol dye and finished it with Resolene.

Really nice thick tooling leather for the price and arrived promptly. I used this for making axe sheaths for vintage axes that I've restored and it worked well. The leather took alcohol based dye really nicely and was easy to wet form.I do recommend that you bevel the edges of the leather using an edge beveler or skiving tool because of how thick the leather is. If you don't than the excess leather will fold over the edge when you burnish the edges.
