Easy to install and works well. I bought the camera used with a vertical grip (no battery door), but plan to take it on a trip where I'm trying to reduce weight and volume.

The latch on my camera's battery door broke and this was the perfect replacement. It was fairly priced, sturdy, and shipped quickly. Would purchase again.

I have used grips for all my cameras for the past 20 years as a professional but recently took it off my current camera to do some basic video work for a client. I then realized that I could not remember where I tossed the OEM batter door. I was in an upcoming crunch so ordered this and got it in time days before the gig.I was skeptical that it would be a direct fit but I needed it. I popped it on my camera and it just snapped into place and the spring works great when I release the latch to change out batteries. A win for me.

Good product. A little cheap compared to the original but does the job. It is very light and I wish the spring was sturdier. It doesn’t spring up very fast but hey it does the job.

I misplaced my battery door when I attached a battery grip years ago. It took me less than a minute to attach and works perfectly so far.

The detent release latch mechanism looks real; but in reality it doesn't work. I have figured out how to force the cover on in a way to make it stay in order to use the camera, but it is a cheap product. It really makes me wish I never lost my original door cover.

Just bought a Canon 5D Mark iii and previous owner had removed battery door for battery grip. Called Canon and theirs was just under $19 shipped. This one is 7.99!!! Feels solid and fits snugly. Had to google how to insert but instead of sliding spring back, use the small black lever above spring to slide left little hinge over.So, insert right hinge rod in right side of Camera (white arrow on picture). Slide hinge tab over (red arrow on picture) which pulls the left rod in and then place into the slot and release (or push tab back to left) to put rod snugly into hole. Done!I'll update if door breaks or doesn't hold up like authentic Canon. Had this one a week. Thanks
