eXtreme Dog Fence Presents the Invisible Fence Compatible Dog Fence Collar (7kHz Model) Powered by Perimeter Technologies
The Perimeter Technologies electronics in the collar receiver is designed specifically to provide a more cost effective solution to replacing an Invisible Fence brand collar, or adding an additional (or more) dog to your existing fence.
The collar receiver is completely waterproof and submersible up to 10' deep. It only weighs a mere 1.1 oz., making it one of the lightest electric dog fence receivers available. The collar is available in both 7k and 10k frequencies, to accommodate either frequency that an Invisible Fence brand system may be set to function in. Most of the compatible Invisible Fence transmitters will have a toggle or dipswitch set underneath the cover, to help you determine which frequency your fence is set to. Please see picture for an example.
These collars are proudly manufactured in the USA, with a high quality polycarbonate plastic. This makes them more resistant to damage from dogs chewing on them.

Much better value than Invisible Fence. We needed a second collar to work with our system and couldn't believe the price of a new collar. This perimeter collar works great. The collar has a little light that lights up when the battery is getting low. Good battery life.

Did not work. I wound up throwing it out. I was hoping it would replace one of my invisible fence collars that I lost but it was a piece of junk!!! I have had my invisible for over 15 years and they still work. this collar did not even work for a minute. I will spend the extra money and repurchase from invisible fence. I would have given it no stars but I had to give one to write this review.

I just want to say thanks for the customer support that I received this week. I am blown away by how helpful the associate was to me. I wish I remembered her name, but I don't. I was a bit stressed when we talked.One of my dog collars had become damaged and quit working. My large Lab mix and medium hound mix are very rowdy when they play, and the gray part had a crack in it and it no longer worked. Any other time I could have contained them indefinitely in the safety of the barn yard which is fenced with chain link. But we were about to leave town and the friends who were coming to feed them would need to open the barn to put in food and water. They are good dogs but very dependent on that little beep to turn them around when they are going toward the back of the property.When friends open the barn the dogs always explode with joy into the property surrounded by the underground fence where they like to run during the day. Naturally when I discovered the broken collar I ordered a replacement. The fastest option was Amazon Prime, but when it came it didn't work. I was so worried; I honestly don't think I could bear to kennel my dogs.I called Perimeter, but the got no answer, messaged, then just collapsed on the couch to consider options. But the phone rang and it was Perimeter calling back. She was so patient as I walked around my house trying to pair the collar, she even had to call again when the signal dropped. It turned out that I had purchased a collar of the wrong series. She said I could order one from her but I explained my short time constraint. She gave me an express shipping option and even took the collar herself to the UPS store so that I would get it in time, which I did.I can't begin to say what this meant to me. I have never been so grateful for a business interaction. The associate was calm, patient, kind, and just solved my crisis as if it was easy. She listened and understood the situation and handled it completely. I just want to say thanks again even though that doesn't begin to express it.

I have owned about 7 or 8 of these collars over the last few years and overall have been very happy with them. I have two dogs that use them full time and 3 that come over that are frequent visitors. It is great that I can have 5 dogs frolicking at once in my yard! My problem is that the last two collars that I have received ( and the latest one is less than a year old ) have cracked allowing moisture to get in causing the collars to malfunction. I have been looking on the Amazon Site to find a way to contact the manufacturer but have been unsuccessful. I am hoping that by leaving this review someone will contact me to see if this issue can be resolved.

Compatible with Invisible Fencing and less expensive than a replacement by the original company. Needed a new collar though as the prongs have a different spacing than the Collars we used to use. This product uses a different battery too than my Invisible Fence transmitter so I must buy and replace two different types of batteries for my two dogs.

The collar worked great for 1 year before the plastic housing on the collar broke. The top and bottom broke as seen in the pictures. Extremely disappointing that a $160 collar breaks in one year. We are extremely diligent on only using when our dogs outside and take care of our belongings. No extreme wear or tear on this device. A $160 collar shouldn’t be disposable after one year of use.
