Installation is a bit of a pain, but otherwise seems very sturdy and I was able to fit 2 kayaks on the same wall with only 7'5 ceilings.

I’ve got a pelican sit on top kayak and these hooks were just what I needed Plus, my kayak kinda looks like wall decor in my garage. The only thing I would change on the install is instead of putting the two screws horizontally. I would put them vertically so that you’ll hit the stud on both of them.

I installed this on the studs and it is very sturdy. I have it setup for a 13 foot tandem Pelican kayak and have used it for a single person 10 footer. The screws supplied are poor quality and have stripped while driving them into the studs. That is why the 4 stars. This will be a permanent fixture on this wall forever now as I’m unable to back the screws out. Hahaha

Easy to put plastic supports on it, and to mount it on the wall. It holds my 12' kayak perfectly....and the price was right.

Due to distance of wall studs I had to use a modified rack made of 2x4’s to use suggested distance of mounts for kayak length.

I purchased this wall rack last fall but never opened to box until this past weekend and noticed a small part was missing. I contacted customer service this morning and within less than a few hours I received noticed that the replacement parts were being shipped. Now that's what I consider top notch customer service. Also, the wall rack is exceptional quality. It's very well designed and looks great. I will definitely continue to be a customer of Pelican!

I purchased two of these racks for a pair of sea kayaks that I own (15” & 18”). I was skeptical that they would be sturdy enough to hold such large boats, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and strength. It’s a very simple design, and if installed correctly, it should perform as expected for years to come. I especially like that they fold back into the wall when not in use.My only complaint it that the rubber pads that are supposed to be the contact points are way too stiff. They are basically just hard plastic. I assumed they would be soft rubber or foam. I may add a bit of pool noodle to soften it up.
