Really great microphone!!! I bought it for our small church podium and it has worked really well. There isn’t background noise from the bible or other items on the podium.I do recommend it; it is well worth the money!

Bought this for the Church. Once I bought the InnoGear 1- Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply... it worked great. Has better sound and has better pickup than the old one.If it doesn't last then I will upgrade the review later.....But right now we are thrillrd with the performance.

This was a breeze to install -- less than 10 minutes and working great. Excellent pick up, but doesn't pick up banging on the podium or other ambient noise. Well worth the price!

Mic is very clear. No problems with feedback even though one speaker is directly behind the presenter.Needs a phantom power supply. When powered a small LED lights up. No on/off switch on the microphone, which I wish it had.DId not use the mounting flange (I played with it and it didn't seem to hold properly), so I wound up using an Audio Technica rubber diaphragm shock-mount plate which holds the mic very tightly by way of the XLR connector at the bottom end of the mic.I wish I had bought the longer model, but that certainly doesn't take away from the quality of this microphone.

I connected the podium mic to the system after obtaining the phantom power supply and it worked great. It picks up the speaker at podium clearly. It was easy to install into the podium using the provided template. You do need a phantom power supply which connects inline between the mic and your sound board. It could be used in a church, school or any assembly area.

The microphone looks great and has a nice feel to it. I didn't see it anywhere in the description (at the time) but it does require phantom power (9-52 VDC) to operate. The flexible portions of the neck are very quiet when moved. The mounting base could be a little stiffer, though it is somewhat adjustable. Sometimes when making adjustments, the base of the microphone collides with the mounting ring, which makes a little more noise.
