Ideal for spoken-word presentations, karaoke performances, multimedia, and instrument use, the SV100 includes a durable cable with 1/4" (6.3 mm) plug for use with home or portable recording/karaoke systems.

I really had a need for this mic as well as a want for one, especially at this price with 1/4 inch jack cord so I can plug it in to my mixer or my 8 channel Tascam directly. I've had an old one a Shure PG 48 that's been working great I got at a pawn shop years ago that actually cost about the same, I was actually singing through that one as well and it always recorded great and especially miking my guitar amp I can instantly tell this was recording much clear and cleaner and I laid down some great tracks today and I can't wait to do vocals with it! It's way cheaper here at Amazon than even my favorite music shops online. UPDATE: I recorded my first vocal tracks with this microphone and I am astounded how incredible it sounds! My other Shure PG 48 Microphone is an old version and it definitely wasn't picking up sound like this new one, I'm gonna use the old one to mic cymbals and the new one to mic the high hat, My old Shure PG 48 microphone was the good one, until I bought this new Shure-WA microphone. Definitely a great value and I may buy another soon.

THis is an amazing mic. I use it for church choir vocals mainly but also to pick up any house sound during performances. Super sturdy and reliable. Great product for the price.

My opinion about this microphone is exactly what I have put here at title. It is a very good microphone for the price. For sure it is not as good as a $500 Shure microphone but for $35 you don't get anything better than this one.By the way, I ask people here if this microphone works with a XLR to USB cable and almost everybody answers "NO". It is wrong and I think people have answered the question just for fun without knowledge. In fact, it works. I have bought a XLR to USB cable (Disino USB Microphone Cable,XLR Female to USB Mic Link Converter Cable) and tried it and it works. Although you have to raise the gain but the sound quality is still good.

Fine, simple mic with an on/off switch. Feels well built and sounds okay. This is not a condenser mic. The title is misleading. Refer to shure.com for proper specs.

Working great so far! Solid build quality as expected from a Shure mic. My PG58 (another budget Shure mic with an on/off switch) survived many years of severe abuse and I'm pretty sure that this one will too since it feels like the same build quality and weight (I've attached a pic of the two mics side by side.)Lots of info is missing from the product description, but here's some additional specs as per the box:Frequency response: 50 to 15000hzImpedance: 600 OhmOutput level: -52 dBV/Pa* at 1kHz *1 Pa=94 dB SPLOutput connection: XLR-1/4'" (6.3 mm)(Note: the mic output connection is actually just XLR, but the included 15-foot cable is XLR to '1/4"... if you want to plug this into an XLR input you'll need a regular XLR cable.)Polar pattern: CardioidWeight: 244 g (0.54 lb)Great mic, built like a tank, but if you've got a higher budget and you're playing live shows, you should consider the Shure SM58.
