These are a bit smaller than I thought they would be and they're cheaply made, but you get 10. I think the majority of file handles will need a custom fit. Today I fitted a 10" flat file. I needed to enlarge the hole in the handle so I would drill, fit the file, re-drill a size larger and fit, and go like that until I got it close. Then I tried a YouTube trick. I heated the file tang (handle) up outside with a torch & when it was extremely hot I put the handle on the file & tapped it on the cement sidewalk to firmly seat it. It smoked for a bit, then stopped. I basically burned a custom fit but the handle would still slide off, so I used a hot glue gun to fill the hole in the handle, then pushed the file in. I think you could skip heating the file tang, over-drill the hole, & use hot glue or any kind of strong glue and it would work. It was kinda fun to try this, it didn't take long, and it seems to work extremely well. So again, expect that you'll have to work on a custom fit in most cases, otherwise you will be disappointed.

I put them on a mirror to make it look like a ships stern in my coastal bedroom. Turned out great I think !!😊

Not as useful as they could be. They come with a 8.6mm hole drilled about 5cm into the handle. That's far too big for most file tangs. The hole would be better about 3 to 5mm, and then we could enlarge it to suit the file we're going to fit to it.

Large enough to fit in your hand. Liked the smaller center hole being small. I could size hole to fit different file sizes. Other Supplyer has larger hole so my small files would not fit.

Fit my 10" and 8" (+ 2" tang) files. Would fit smaller ones as well. Tang hole is pre-drilled, although for the larger files I had to enlarge the hole a bit to fit the tang. As the tang is tapered, I only needed to enlarge the first/beginning part of the handle. Ferrell is nice touch, no handles cracked when adding to file. Using the files are so much safer and more comfortable rather putting a towel/rag on the end.
