After just one use the bow strings are fraying beyond what is expected.

All 4 tuning knobs didnt stick; when i tightened them they just spring back. Seems defective to me but all 4 knobs?

No it doesn’t sound very lovely, but that’s partly because my toddler plays it. It is a great first instrument especially for the price. I also am not terribly worried if my toddler breaks it. It seems well made even though it is a very distant cousin of a strad! My son loves to have us applaud after each piece he performs.

I’ve been teaching for 20 years, and a professional violinist. I have come across a lot of student beginner violins that just plain didn’t work, or worked very poorly, as in pigs didn’t stay in place, or other things were out of proportion. This violin was outstandingly set up, and the sound is very good for such a small instrument. I bought a 1/16 size. Very happy !

Son just started violin and needed size 1/16. It shipped faster than expected and we couldn’t be more gratefully for that. It’s so tiny looks like a toy. The craftsmanship of this is spectacular. Fits my child small frame perfectly. The tuner worked just flip the battery over pop it back in, viola. The case is sturdy and the two straps allow him to wear like a backpack.
