The "radar" style pocket cap is perfect for sun protection, comes in a lot of colors, is great quality, and is designed so the brim folds in half so you can easily put it in your pocket. I also like the breathability of it, since I typically wear it during the summer or while vacationing somewhere warm and sunny. Lastly, I really like that it has a brim that's smaller than (doesn't stick out as far) a baseball or trucker cap. Perfect hat!

I bought this hat because of its sun protection plus it happens to be the style I wear. It is also lightweight and foldable. When I remove my hat indoors, I don't go off and leave it somewhere because it's in my pocket. The size chart is very accurate, so MEASURE your head. They cost a bit but they have a few functions, namely UPF/sunscreen. Also it's very comfortable.

I have now purchased 6 of these cadet caps to keep in my various vehicles and jackets so they are ready for use. They work well both to protect me from the sun and also rain showers (I wear glases and don't like rain drops on my glasses). I was initially concerned that the bill was a little small but in practice its just fine. They fold easily into a jacket breast pocket or even jeans back pocket. I just wish they had more colors in stock and did an orange color for hunting. They are very comfortable to wear for an extended period.

I have a large head (7 5/8 to 7 3/4.), So finding a perfect fitting cap is a real struggle.I got the XL and I can happily say that this cap fits perfectly. No tightness or discomfort whatsoever. Even the side of the cap sits just right above my ear (doesn't happen very often for most caps).I went for a short hike and it kept me cool from the blazing tropical sun. It is so lightweight, it feels like I'm wearing nothing on my head. I could probably wear this all day long.One minor complain, the sweat stains are very visible for the colorway that I purchased. Not a dealbreaker though. I'll probably get a darker color cap next time as a spare.

I LOVE this hat! I have bought so many hats over the years, but have never worn any of them because my head is small. This one was perfect for what I needed it for. I went on a backpacking trek with my son and his Scouts BSA Troop. For one of our shakedown hikes, I wore a typical sun/beach hat with a wide brim al the way around, but the back of the hat hit the top of my large backpack, and it made me hold my head in a weird position. So I needed a hat with no brim in the back, but traditional baseball or truckers hats don't work for me. I picked this hat because I could wad it up and stuff it in my pack or pocket when not in use, it kept the sun out of my eyes, it hid my hair that went unwashed for multiple days!, it kept the mosquitoes and flies off of my head, it kept the rain out of my eyes and off of my glasses, it dried quickly, it provided a structure for the bug net to go over, it is machine washable!, and it is SO CUTE!

First off, I was very impressed with the packaging and how the hat came in a nice box. It actually makes for a far nicer presentation than I expected (which was just to have a crumpled hat in an envelope). The hat, itself is extremely lightweight, cool and comfortable. The large size happened to fit my head almost perfectly, just slightly loose, which was unexpected since I have a fairly large melon. I like the unstructured, foldable design which allows you to carry it in a day pack or pocket so you can always have head protection on you when you need it. That's why I consider it an EDC hat because it's the only one I have that I can keep on me without having to wear it all day. Seems well constructed and I like the cool feel of the Supplex nylon. Finally, I like the fact that there aren't any strange adjustment straps to fool with, just a simple, fitted design. I realize this may turn off some people, especially those with long hair who want to wear it in a ponytail but if you've got short hair or are bald, this is the one!

Größe M (56,2 bis 58,1 cm) passt mir mit 56,5 cm Kopfumfang perfekt. Rutscht nicht, sitzt aber auch nicht stramm. Wer am oberen Limit der Größenangabe liegt, sollte vielleicht schon eine Nummer größer wählen. Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, Nähte sauber ausgeführt, gutes Material. Bei der schwarzen Mütze sind die Innenseite sowie der Schirm von unten und das aufgestickte Logo grau. Hinten hat die Mütze auf der Innenseite noch eine geniale kleine Bandschlaufe, mit der sich die Mütze aufhängen oder an einem Karabiner befestigen lässt. Das Label ist separat eingenäht und lässt sich durch Auftrennen einer Naht schadlos entfernen. Mein Modell in Größe M wiegt von mir gewogen 49 Gramm.

I don't know why I was able to buy this hat from this seller for so cheap. Other sellers and the original manufacturer have it listed for at least twice as much, and it is certainly not a knock-off.Good points: Great fabric. Very lightweight and comfortable, even when it's getting hot outside. The folding feature works well, and I stuff it into a bag often as it won't fit under my bike helmet. The material that makes up the brim seems sturdy and looks like it will hold up to a good amount of abuse. Great stitching overall, and there's even a little loop sewn inside so it can be clipped to something like a carabineer to prevent it from getting lost.Bad points: There is little to no stretch on the fabric. Make sure you measure your noggin correctly and pick the best size! If it's too small, it just won't stretch out at all to accommodate you. Mine is just a liiiiiiittle too tight, but if I went a size up, it would definitely be too big.Overall, I'm glad I got the deal on it that I did. Now that I own it and have had a chance to wear it, I would totally pay full price to get another one.

Nachdem ich nun ein paar Mützen ausprobiert habe muss ich sagen das ist Sie!Ich trage erst seit kurzem Kappen und die hier ist angenehm leicht und passt meinem Dickschädel in XL hervorragend.Der Versand war fix, einziges Manko, die Verpackung hätte in Anbetracht der Größe des Artikels kleiner sein können, hätte in nen flachen Pappumschlag gepasst. Das ist aber Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

I'll preface this by saying I am a big Outdoor Research fan. From their softshells, to mittens, I've liked everything I've bought from them. Good quality, good fit (i.e. not boxy), and lifetime guarantee all add up to repeat purchases on my part.My wife and I both have this hat. She has two of them in Medium, and I wear a Large. I've got a big head, and I was surprised at how big the Large is. I ordered both a L and XL and returned the XL as it looked like I was a little kid wearing my father's hat.As others have mentioned, the biggest plus is how easy it is to carry this thing and how versatile it is. I always toss it in my backpack while hiking, I wear it while running errands on Sundays, and I always toss it in my back when travelling. I tend to avoid it in the dead of summer as the synthetic material, while thin, doesn't breathe all that well. Conversely, it's not warm enough to wear as a hat in the winter. Its really best suited for fall and spring.I've found myself using it most when I travel. Its light and packs easy, and doesn't look goofy. My wife brought one to Peru and basically lived in it for 2 weeks through all kinds of weather. It blocks the sun (as it's got an spf30 rating), fit the part of a backpacker, and was easily stowable in any just about any pocket.To recap:Pros - Versatility, looks good, brim doesn't look like it folds while wearing it (it stays rouned), dries quickly, ideal for travel.Cons - Its really only suited for the shoulder seasons. If you want a warm weather version, opt for the one with the little mesh vent panels on the sides. Same hat, just better breathability.
