Trouble Shooting:

Q: Why is the HDMI port not working?

A: a. Make sure your input signal format is the format that this monitor supports (check support signal format in Technical Specifications part); b. Try another HDMI cable; c. please connect monitor HDMI in port to your computer, see if the monitor works;

Q: The monitor can't recognize my SD card?

A: We suggest you use the SD Card that is 16G (or under 16G) and formatted to FAT32.

Q: I can’t find some functions like Anamorphic, Volume Control etc?

A: The functions you can’t find are probably in Monitor Settings Menu, scroll the joystick left for 3 seconds, and the menu will appear.

Q: I have some loud noise when recording?

A: It‘s the phenomenon of feedback gain when monitor speaker is too close to camera mic. You can just mute the monitor by scrolling the joystick left for 3 second to go to the monitor setting, choose “VOLUME” and turn the volume down to 0.

Q: Why is False Color disabled when LUT is activated?

A: It’s a default setting when one of them is on, another one will be off. To ensure an accurate exposure of your original footage, we believe it’s best to let the exposure tools only analyze the original signal without LUTs.

Q: When I am zooming, the Peaking is disabled?

A: When you do x2 or x4 Zooming, the Peaking’s intensity will be reduced to a certain threshold value accordingly. Use Focus Assist to help if you feel needed.

In my opinion this monitor is the finest as the brightness is wonderful, miss the touch screen but the brightness and one button control will fill in the gap. The only thing I'm worried about is the customer support, as it is sluggish. Other than that I would highly recommend this product or the g7 as the g7 comes with a protective case. Overall I would highly recommend these products as they meet all expectations, you won't be disappointed.

I bought 2 for less than the price of a small hd touch, and the screen / image is sooo nice,PS: tweak the image profile to 65D to get neutral tones that matches your monitor and you are golden!!

I went from a crappy 170$ CAD monitor from an another brand. This osee T7 is just incredible. It is soooo bright, even with hard sun. While I can’t see anything on my FX3 monitor, I see everything without any sun hood. I call it magic. You can even adjust the fan according to the ambiant temperature, that’s really clever. I was a bit scared of the 7inch, but after testing it out for a couple of weeks, I’m more than happy that’s it’s 7inch. You can really see better the image. I’m even able to rig it to my Ronin for vertical or horizontal shooting. Would definitely buy again.

Having been overly impressed with the smaller T5+, I couldn't help myself and decided to try the larger T7 - and what a great decision that turned out to be! The screen on this thing is insane! It honestly blew my mind. Beautifully sharp, accurate colours, and oh my god, that brightness! 3000 nits!. In my location I find myself shooting in not so desirable lighting conditions in the middle of the day. The T7 can be used in bright conditions with no problem whatsoever - without even using a sun hood. The build quality is great (yes, it is made of plastic), but it still has a premium feel to it. It certainly does not feel cheap. The T5+ definitely still has a place in my kit and will be used for certain occasions, but the T7 will absolutely be fixed to my camera rig for a vast majority of the time. Osee have been so good to deal with also. Happy to answer questions and were extremely quick to ship on both occasions that I bought their product. Well done Osee on producing such amazing monitors at an incredible price point. I can't wait to see what other products are released in the future.

So far my monitor does not have any inbuilt LUT‘s and I can’t get the picture from the camera to fill up the whole of the monitor screen. I WAS WRONG.To try and self-help I sign up to the website of the manufacturer giving quite a lot of personal details so that I could download the latest firmware to see whether that might fix it. Alas, they do not give you access to the Support website until you have emailed Lisa. This I felt particularly aggrieved with given I’d given them a lot of personal information for zero return. TRUEI have emailed Lisa at 0SEE and will revise my score and review depending on their response. THERE RESPONSE WAS GOOD AND HELPFUL.MORAL OF THE STORY, READ TYE MANUAL...Apologies to OSEE.

I bought two of these... the Osee G7 and T7 (they appear to be identical other than the T7 not having an SDI input/output). Due to the pricepoint, I thought I'd try it out as an onboard camera monitor (which I use to pull critical focus with). I'm an owner of several SmallHD similar sized monitors and wasn't quite ready to spend $2-3k for their 7" Hi-Bright monitor... especially since I needed two of them. I figured if the Osee didn't meet my expectations, I could just use as a handheld director's monitor. The Osee turned out quite nice though, and I think will be an AMAZING monitor with just a couple simple firmware updates.I was impressed with the brightness and overall picture quality. It is surprisingly good, and comparable to the SmallHD monitors. Its outer casing is made of plastic rather than the aluminum of the SmallHD, but it still feels well-built and looks "professional" on set. There are tons of included LUTs that seem usable, and I'm anxious to add my custom LUTs too. Resolution looks good and colors are surprisingly accurate. It is bright as advertised, and is indeed visible outdoors. Much much better than the standard 400-nit monitors which are almost unusable on a sunny day.I LOVE that this monitor has "peaking" (which is similar to image sharpening) as a focus assist instead of just the digital "focus assist" (which is a false-color-outlining). The "focus assist" feature has always been difficult and inaccurate for me to use for critical focus scenarios (shapes tend to glow when they're not completely in focus, so it can be hard to gauge). One reason I've always preferred the SmallHD monitors over others such as Atamos, is that they have the "peaking" feature in addition to "focus assist". VERY happy to find that Osee has PEAKING!!! The Osee peaking does need to be a little stronger though... at max level 10, it's only about half as intense as the SmallHD peaking. Boosting this in a firmware upgrade would make this a fantastic focus-pulling monitor.PROs:- Pricepoint is great.- PEAKING is such a great tool for focus! (just needs to be stronger on this monitor)- Image and colors are nice- Brightness is viewable outdoors- Build quality looks and feels great- Waveform is a nice feature (but doesn't take the LUT into account which makes it difficult to use)- Customizable frame guides (great for social media shoots like 1:1 or 5:4, etc)- Takes Sony NP-F batteries, which are MUCH more useful than the tiny Canon LP-E6 batts.- Anamorphic stretch for use with anamorphic lenses! (this feature was a pleasant surprise). It's missing the common 1.8x anamorphic stretch (it has 1.33, 1.5, 1.66, and 2x though). Could be easily added in a firmware update though.- User-uploadable LUT support (I haven't tried this out yet, but very glad it's a feature)CONs:- Needs stronger peaking (this would be a great firmware update). The peaking feature is fantastic, but not quite strong enough at its max setting to really nail critical focus. Stronger peaking would make this monitor MUCH more usable.- No cross-conversion on the SDI model (HDMI to SDI or vice-versa). Totally understandable at this price point though.- Anamorphic stretch is great, but it's missing the common 1.8x stretch factor.- Waveform feature reflects the Log image (not the LUT image when a LUT is applied). This makes it much more difficult to use since the levels are 'squashed' into the middle tonal range. This will hopefully be fixed in a firmware upgrade. All in all, I'd totally recommend this monitor. Time will tell if it lasts (I'll update this review if I discover long-term issues), but after a couple shoots, it seems well-built and I think this company has a promising future if they can keep the prices down while making such a usable monitor. Would LOVE to see them make a 3000-nit 5" version of this too!!To the people at Osee, please consider updating these issues in a firmware update:- Add stronger "peaking" so this can be used as a focus-pulling monitor- Make the Waveform react to LUTs when they are applied to the image- Add 1.8x anamorphic squeeze

I first started hearing about this monitor in my film production forums the middle of last year. I waited a while to see what others would think of them first, how they held up and how their customer service handled any issues...and well, I never heard anything bad. I purchased this last week to see if it could live up to the hype and the abuse we put our gear through. We shoot all kinds of projects from feature films, to music videos, to commercials in just about every environment and shooting condition you can imagine. We've been searching for a monitor that was lightweight, large, decently built, and most importantly for us, daylight viewable under any conditions... and this has checked every box for us. We shoot a lot of commercials outside in very bright light, and sunhoods are great, but an also be a pain in the a**. This is viewable from about any angle, and any distance without distortion. So far we've run it under a variety of conditions both indoor and outdoor, and have run a couple of different power options on it. For as bright as it is, it doesn't eat a lot of battery.I was recently using the Feelworld Lut6Plus, which is almost as bright at 2600nits, but the build quality was terrible, the screen flexed and felt like it was going to crack whenever I would go to adjust the angle of the monitor mount. As soon as I received and tested my Osee, I returned the Feelworld immediately. A lot of monitors at this price point don't carry the same build quality as Osee.Clean crisp output from both our Red Helium and BMPCC6k. Also worked great as a director monitor fed by the Hollyland Mars 400s Pro.If there was only one downside, I would say I wish it was touchscreen, but Osee seems to do a very good job at listening to their customers and implementing desired features into their products. Can't wait to see what else this company puts out.Overall, great monitor, very satisfied so far. Will be buying several more (with SDI version) to add to our camera car.I will update this review in a month after we put some more heavy use into it.
