I've been using Pawley hammocks and these straps for 16yrs. Used to be i could wrap the strap around the jacaranda two times then knot it. The tree has grown a little but not 2 or 3 feet bigger circumference. I can no longer wrap it even 1.5 times and the trunk at the height I need is quite straight. So I can only hope that I've tied it tight enough so it won't slip down. Bit disappointed and in future I'll have to buy longer straps from someone else. The quality seems as good as ever. Sturdy and unobtrusive on the tree. If you have smallish trees or one with a trunk that gets wider as it goes down, these will suit you perfectly.

I am using these on Palm Trees. The straps are thin and not as long as expected. They only wrap around the tree once and they are not wide at all. I've had other straps that were much wider and were sturdy. I would not recommend these.

I'm going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars. Once these are up, they worked great. But putting them up was not easy. The directions are hard to follow and don't work as easily as it looks. I think we had to "make it up" and do what worked. Now they are up all the time and sturdy and hold the hammock well. But it took many tries to get the tree spacing (which 2 trees to use) and height just right. So actually, I'm glad we used these straps. I'd hate to drill holes in my tree, just to learn I need to put them up 6 inches higher! The straps make it flexible without damaging the tree, for sure. I would buy again. My only criticism is that I wish the directions were more clear.

The straps are sturdy as can be. I have no fear of them failing. However, they're heavy and not all that easy to adjust for length. At least, they're not as easy as some other brands. However, I still use mine. The little inconveniences of weight and adjustment issues have not been so much that I have traded them for another type or brand.

These are astoundingly hard to find in stores so we were really happy with what we bought. The color is brown so it blends in fairly well with the tree trunk. It's a simple design that requires you to loop and wind a strap around a branch and it hooks to one end of a hammock. It's strong, simple and gets the job done. Love the price too.

ORDERED THIS SET OF TWO STRAPS AND WHEN THEY ARRIVED MY HUSBAND AND I STARTED INSTALLING THESE ON THE TREES TO HANG THE HAMMOCK. ONE STRAP SIDE WORKED FINE. THE OTHER STRAP SIDE COULD NOT INSTALL AS PER THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. THE STITCH WORK ON THE MATERIAL WAS NOT PROPERLY MEASURED AND THE STITCH WAS SEWN TOO FAR OVER AND THE METAL HOOP WOULD NOT GO THROUGH IT. THE STRAP WAS USELESS TO US. I EVENTUALLY RIPPED ONE OF THE SEAMS INTERFERING WITH USING THE PRODUCT. THEN THE STRAP WAS UNSAFE TO USE. RETURNING THIS PRODUCT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE AND TIME CONSUMING. MY MONEY DOWN THE TUBE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. NO QUALITY CONTROL.

These tree straps are easy to use, very sturdy and work well. One end of the strap is sewn into a loop and the other has a steel ring attached. You simply wrap the strap around a tree a few times, insert the steel ring end through the fabric loop end and attach your hammock to the steel ring with the included "s" hooks or buy a couple caribiners, (I use the caribiner method for more security when moving around in my hammock). The length of the strap,(and therefore the height of your hammock as it is suspended between two trees) can be adjusted by the number of times you wrap it around a tree. With a few practice tries, you can have your hammock hung in a minute or less. These straps seem durable enough to be left attached to the trees for extended periods and they don't damage trees at all.

I bought these to hang my hammock around a couple of trees in my back yard. I've had it up for a season and a half and they've been pretty great. No signs of wear and tear, so they should be good for quite a while to come. The only trick is that they are a very specific length so depending on the thickness of the tree and the distance between the trees (and the length of the hammock), you might have to be creative about how to use them to hang the hammock. On one side of the hammock, I had to wrap the straps around the tree twice because otherwise it would've been too long. You might also need to pass the chain of the hammock through one of the loops in these straps if they're too short.
