I am a contractor and bought these for drilling concrete and brick. They work really well and the tip stays sharp for many cuts. I really thought these would be lousy, based on the price, but they really are good bits.

After quickly wearing out a $17 + bit purchased from Lowe's I decided to try these bits. I needed to drill an additional 5 holes in 3/8" thick porcelain tile, and since I was getting 10 bits for not too much more than the single bit at Lowe's, I thought that it was worth a try. Was it ever!I drilled all five holes with a single bit, which appears none the worse for wear. I did make a tape dam around each hole location which I filled with water to cool and lubricate the bit. (Thanks YouTube.) It took only about 30 seconds to drill each hole. For porcelain tile, that is outstanding. The bits are well made, with a generous amount of diamond chips on each bit. Unlike the Lowe's bit, the diamond material was firmly bonded to the drill tip. (The bit that drilled the 5 holes still had plenty of cutting chips on it, and could have drilled more holes.)Outstanding value for performance. I highly recommend this product.

I bought a name brand bit for $42 and drilled a hole in my 1 inch quartz counter for a reverse osmosis filter tap. It worked well, but had more cutting edge on the sides than the bottom of the bit. I got through my counter although it did seem slower at the end and I was wondering if I would get all the way through. looking at the bit after the fact I am wondering if it has another job left in it. I has plenty of material on the sides, but the bottom is pretty well worn clean. These bits have more diamond grit than my name brand bit and they are holding up surprisingly well. I use these more than the other bit being a smaller size. That was required for one job so far, these have come in handy a few times and I am still going strong with the first bit.I am impressed. Good value over retail.

I’m working on a big project (252 bathrooms) that I am having to drill holes in tile for grab bars, toilet paper holders, and shower rods. These have ranged in quality from 8-20 holes per bit. I have tried ever bit from Home Depot and Lowe’s, roughly $18 +/- each and getting about the same quality.Con: these get clogged up and are a challenge to clear out

I can tell that there is a lot of detailed attention put in these JOERIC Black Hex Shank 3/8" Dry Diamond Drill Bit Set which comes in a set of 6 identical bits. They are in individual plastic containers to prevent scratches. This is my first time encounter with drill bits with wax in, and having done some research, it makes a lot of sense.I have in the past used similar drill bits with no wax and I have to constantly spray water to prevent burning. This one is self lubricating and no water is therefore needed.Typically the end of the drill bit is sharp and pointed, but this one is not and therefore not too easy to start with a specific spot. However, the instruction is to position the bit at a 45 degree angle to prevent slipping. This works to a certain extent, but I would used a regular drill bit, just to get a start, then use this wax drill bit.The body is steel and quality looks good and appears that they will last a while. I would have preferred to have 6 different sizes, instead of identical ones.In terms of performance, they deserve a 5 star.

They worked well but like every other diamond bit they wore out quickly., using two bits per hole. That there were 10 bits of the same size underlines the idea.It would be much better if manufacturers were more honest about what to expect. BTW, just because a tile is white doesn't mean it's porcelain. In fact there's a distinct possibility it's a much softer, low-fire, white earthenware.

Had to drill some larger holes in porcelin tile walls of our newly remodeled bathroom. The tile guy spent a couple of hours drilling holes using carbide tile drills. I tried them for about two minutes with very little progress so I ordered these diamond drills. They worked perfectly ;)Drilled clean holes with very little effort in only a few minutes.Used a drill guide with suction cups, ran the diamond grit in a bar of soap as a lubricant a couple of times during use.

Using a template/guide I was able to drill 12 holes in ceramic tile using only one drill bit, and that bit appeared to have life remaining. As did others, I used bar soap for additional lubrication. Now what to do with the remaining nine bits...

Worked way better than a professional bit I bought for $25 at a specialty tool store. Just keep the bit wet with a spray bottle when drilling.

Drilled 9 holes in porcelain tile and the 1 drill bit that I used is still usable.Prior to this I used a carbide bit, which took about 20-30 min per hole vs only several min. Great tool.
