Our daughter (2.5 years old) was having trouble staying in her bed for extended period overnight (she transitioned from a crib very early). After months of failing to get her to spend the entire night in her own bed, we got an Ooly and it has definitely helped change her sleep behavior. She understands now that certain colour (e.g. red, pink) mean "stay in bed" and green means "okay to get up" and loves the little owl design. Best feature is that she can't fiddle with the buttons to turn it off/change colour. If you're looking for a great sleep tool to help teach your toddler about appropriate wake times, this might be the one for you!

Awesome product. Grandson definitely understand the concept. Yellow - prepare for bed Red - sleep. Green - awake time Off - playtime still

We love our “Hooty Owl” as my three year old son calls it. It’s been a great “ok to wake” clock for him. The app is easy to use, and the owl is a soft silicone but still durable. It holds a charge well and travels well too. It’s well worth the cost.

I bought the Ooly in a pinch after having too many troubles with the Hatch (the Hatch started to shut off in the middle of the night - after lengthy troubleshooting with the Hatch team, it continued to malfunction). The Ooly is overall great. I love the color options and the dimming options (we keep it quite dim). I find it more user-friendly than the Hatch, especially bc I only needed the LIGHT and not the sound machine. I also like that it's wireless so it can move around the room (and come with us when we travel). My one piece of constructive feedback is that the battery life does not last as long as expected. When I reached out to the Ooly team, they advised charging it twice a week just to be sure it doesn't turn off in the middle of the night.

We love the Ooly Owl! It was recommended to us by our infant sleep consultant, and we are very satisfied with it. Although it is more expensive than the classic Gro-Clock, which we have for our eldest, the Ooly Owl is by far superior, thanks to the quality of the product, the Wi-Fi control, the ability to remotely change the wake-up time, the battery life (when unplugged), and more. The programming is simple. Congratulations on a great product!

The app is extremely easy to use and connect. The light can be transitioned from 0-100% I do wish we could enter in the percentage we want as an option vs only having it be on a slider. But this is fantastic. The battery quality lasts a long time - easily a week but I think closer to ten days. We leave it on ALL night. Starting at 730 we have a yellow light to signify bedtime routine. 830 is red & "when it is red, we stay in bed". 845 I have the red light dimmed from 50% to 10%. I really like that it works plugged in or placed in babe's bed. Green at 630A. There's also a manual override if babe has an off sleeping day.I found other ok to wake clocks with no led display but the scheduling of the clocks were on the devices themselves and too easily accessible by babe.Like the title states, I do regret not introducing it earlier. My oldest did take some time to adjust to having it because I waited until after she started getting of bed on her own. I'm going to get a second for my youngest and introduce it sooner than I did with my oldest while baby is still in crib and creates the association.

I got the Ooly because I have a separate sound machine so I just wanted the light changing features. It works great! I’ve had it almost a year now and I haven’t had any issues at all.I love that there are no buttons so my son can have it right beside or even in his bed all night and he can’t turn it on or off.The battery lasts a long time on one charge. They say 10 days, I find it lasts longer but I only do nap and bedtime lights. It’s on a very low red light all night and my son knows if the owl is red, he needs to be in bed.I do wish the app could send a notification when the battery is low to remind me to charge it. I have a reminder set on my phone to do it every 10 days. The owl is also very durable. My son has hit it and it has rolled out of the bed before and it’s in perfect condition.

Great concept with some very valuable features…if it actually worked.Pros: schedule is programmed entirely through app, doesn’t need to stay plugged in, no way for my child to alter the settings, option to disable blue lightCons: never actually notifies me when the battery is low (though the app offers a low battery notification); died completely and will not recharge after just under 6 months - there is no way to call customer service and after several days I have not received a response from the form I submitted directly through their website.***Review amended from one star to four due to the following:The company reached out quickly in response to my review to address the problems we were having. Once they reached out to me customer service was excellent. Their suspicion was that the battery had been dislodged from its position, and they sent directions on how to check and reposition. We have a working Ooly now, thank goodness, as well as knowledge of how to fix it should this happen again. Hoping they can improve the design for future users to prevent or reduce the likelihood of dislodged batteries. The silicone case is very difficult to remove, but that’s overall a very good thing! Side note: apparently the notification feature has been permanently disabled to protect battery life. Bummer, but we’ll survive :)

We used this for our younger daughter who would wake up very early and disrupt the sleep of our older daughter, not to mention ours! She very quickly tuned into the concept of the green light and began waiting to leave her room after two nights with the Ooly. We (and she) also loved the colors, the overall aesthetics, the shape. Also, it is easy to charge and to set the times on the app. The owner reached out to us multiple times to see how it was working for us. Always lovely to support a small family owned business. Definitely worth it and very useful!

My son loves it. When it turns red, he knows it’s time to get ready for bed. In the morning, he’s waiting for his owls to come green so he can get up and gets all excited about it. I love that there’s no buttons to play with so if he wants it in bed, there’s no danger. Also super easy to set up the time and multiple colours available.I really recommend this wonderful product!

Our 2 year old took to Owl (his name for Ooly... original, I know) very quickly. After quite a bit of researching, this seemed to be the most travel-friendly, easy to setup, reliable and circadian rhythm friendly clock out there. And it has proven to be true. Many of the other clocks I looked at were either far too bright, or didn't have the option to block out blue light. Ooly does, and has abundant customization options in terms of scheduling, color of lighting and dimness/brightness. The setup is easy and so far we've been charging it once a week. Our son wakes up every morning and says "Owl green!" It's a hit :)

We like our Ooly.We found it because our daughter loves owls, and we thought that maybe a colour alarm clock came in an owl shape...presto ooly.We purchased through Amazon, the order took longer than a normal amazon order (small business woes), but it showed up in the end and worked well. Now we don't hear our daughter in the morning until Ooly turns our chosen green colour. Then like clockwork we hear her and we are happy to not know how long she has been quietly playing by herself.

We had previously purchased the LittleHippo wake up clock and while it was okay, we really didn't like that you could only choose half hour naps or play time. Every kid is different and having the ability to customize the choices was really important. We bought the Ooly and it is AWESOME. It's totally controlled on your phone so kiddos can't push buttons and turn it on or off. It also lets you completely customize a schedule that works for you and has tons of color choices and brightnesses. We were able to let our daughter choose her favorite color (purple) for wake up time and another color for 'play time' before getting up and then a third color as a go to sleep night light. It's also a rechargeable battery so no cords. Sometimes she carries it around to different areas she is playing in which is super helpful in reminding her it's still 'play time' (i.e. NOT time to wake up Mama and Papa yet!). This has been extremely helpful in helping our kiddo stay in her room and play quietly so we get a bit more sleep and the side bonus has been that she is developing more skill in playing independently. It's a great product and MUCH better than any of the other clocks on the market.
