Worked great at first. Then it started locking the controllers in and not releasing them. After breaking the controller attempting to pull it out and taking the thing apart I found there were clips holding it in and wouldn’t let go. After breaking it I was able to get the black part of the controller out but it doesn’t matter as the controller is broken.

I bought two adapters to try. the old skool one is nicer, packaging is better and the overall experience is so far, Great! The other Adapter which I wont name but a very well known brand, ripped the metal sleeve on my Smash Bros controller effectively Ruining it. I pick old skool! Keep up the good work

Do not buy this item. The one I got doesn’t work at all and by looking at the other reviews, which weren’t there when I ordered mine, I’m lucky it didn’t ruin any of my controllers.

Although it required force to remove it, instead of using hulk strength to rip it from the port I loosened it with increasing force and that removes it without damaging the controller. Worked as intended but there are better adapters. But you get what you pay for and this does its job well

The product worked as advertised... I was testing out my Super Smash Bros. Ultimate GameCube controller on my Nintendo switch using this adapter. The controller plugged in and was working like normal. However, when it came time to unplug the GameCube controller...I notice that it was jammed, I game it a firm tug and the internal connection at the tip of the controller came out and was permanently jammed into one of the ports of the adapter. Now I am left with a damaged OFFICIAL Nintendo GameCube controller, and an unusable aftermarket adapter. I will now be ordering an official Nintendo adapter and a replacement GameCube Controller (unfortunately). I am highly frustrated and disappointed with this product and I will not recommend it to anyone seeking an adapter.

I’m very disappointed with this product. When I plugged my brand new controller in for the first time, it was unable to be removed without force and the cord was damaged and made the controller unusable. I would not recommend buying this item unless you want to waste time and money.
