What a beefy knife. I feel like it is indestructible. Easily my favorite knife.

Not pretty or suave, just a beast and does not try to hide it. This blade replaces several other knifes I will not longer need. Well worth the money

I’m no stranger to hard use fixed blades. I also own the BK2 and the RD6 and the Alpha Dog has some superior features. First the blade design makes for easy weight forward chopping and the large belly of the blade is good for skinning. The blade is thinner than the other two knives but gives up nothing in strength and toughness due to the CRYO-D2 tool steel. There is a knurled ridge on the spine for improved grip when working the blade and will also be useful for striking a ferro-rod. There are also 2 perfectly located dimples in the front of the scales that dramatically improve blade control when doing detailed tasks with the blade. In the hand the knife is comfortably heavy and well balanced. I found no flaws in materials, construction or workmanship whatsoever. The sheath is the best one I have by far. It locks onto the knife and there is no need for any additional strap for retention. It is made like the custom synthetic sheaths that cost far more than this whole package. This has me looking at more of the Off-Grid lineup! It will definitely not be the last one that I buy! I wish I had found these sooner!

I had never hear of Off-Grid knives until 2022. I started watching youtube reviews of them and they were all very good. So, I took the chance and bought the Alpha Dog. Couldn't be happier.Full tang construction, handle is great and fits my large hands very well. Blade came very sharp but I must admit I sharpened it a bit more to my liking. The audible snap you hear when sheathing the blade is unlike any other kydex sheath I've ever owned and puts me in mind of the sound when re-holstering a sidearm into a kydex holster.Snaps in very snug, no rattle whatsoever, and the draw from the secured blade is a synch. Can't say enough good things about this knife .... it goes with me nearly everywhere nowadays. Off Grid makes a great product for sure.

I have owned a few Off Grid knives before this one. This is the first fixed blade I’ve gotten from them. The handles are G-10 and are not textured so they are a little slick. The weight is around 1 pound so this isn’t a lightweight or dainty knife, and I like that. The steel is Bohler K110, which is similar to D2 as I understand. It comes pretty sharp from the factory. The kydex sheath it comes with has really good retention and I like that the belt loop is nylon with a snap,(similar to the loop on Cold Steel fixed blades). Despite the weight I feel like it’s reasonably comfortable to carry. I have medium wide hands and the grip although a bit slick is very comfortable. Aesthetically this thing is a damn beast, I guess hence the name Alpha Dog! The blade stock is also very thick. I don’t think I could damage this blade if I tried. There’s very nice jimping for you thumb and some thumb grooves as well. If you want a badass American made knife that makes a statement then the Alpha Dog is for you!
