Bowl-big and sturdy enough for cereal. Cup-isn’t sturdy enough for hot beverage since it can be easily squeezed. Good to hold water. Bowl collapses and is portable.

I recently took the Odoland Mess Kit for Camping on a solo hiking trip, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. This kit is thoughtfully designed for one person and includes a collapsible silicone bowl, collapsible cup, and a stainless steel spoon. Here’s why I think it’s a great investment:**Compact and Space-Saving:** The collapsible bowl and cup are incredibly convenient. They fold down to a fraction of their size, saving precious space in my backpack. This feature is perfect for anyone who needs to pack light but still wants to bring along all the essentials.**Durable and Easy to Clean:** The materials used are of high quality. The silicone bowl and cup are sturdy and hold their shape well when expanded. They’re also easy to clean, which is a huge plus when you’re out in the wilderness and don’t have access to extensive cleaning supplies. The stainless steel spoon is robust and doesn’t bend or break easily. It’s also very comfortable to use, which made meal times more enjoyable.**Versatile Use:** This kit isn’t just for camping. I’ve used it on picnics and day hikes, and it’s just as useful in those settings. The collapsible features make it easy to throw in a daypack without taking up too much room.**Great Value:** Considering the quality and functionality of each piece, this mess kit offers great value for money. It’s clear that Odoland put a lot of thought into the design and durability of this product. In summary, the Odoland Mess Kit for Camping is a fantastic option for anyone who loves outdoor activities. It’s compact, durable, and very user-friendly. I highly recommend it to solo campers, hikers, and anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors!

I have bought a few of these collapsible dishes for when I travel for work. I like to buy my food at the supermarket wherever I end up, but I need a cup, bowl and spoon to fit in my carry on bag (otherwise I have to buy a pack of like 12 bowls and a bunch of plastic utensils). This is lightweight, folds flat, easily fits in my carry on luggage and it’s light. Strongly recommend.

This is exactly what I needed. I had. Mess kit, but it wasn't for backpacking. This one is light and super compact. I can't wait to take it out on the trail.

Simple packaging, came in a plastic bag but the mess kit itself was a great deal for the price! Thick silicone bowl and cup that collapses down very compact. Excellent for camping or taking to work for lunch. The folding spork was also very nice and clean metal. Not flimsy steel and it wasn't some rough stamped sheet metal junk with sharp edges. Actually had soft edges and works as intended.

An important consideration in backpacking is your cup, bowl and/or plate. When I saw this collapsible cup and bowl, I asked Amazon to review it.This is a 10.4-ounce collapsible cup, bowl and a spoon/fork eating device. The cup and bowl are made out of silicone. It has a little bit of an odor, but not enough to complain about. The diameter of the big bowl is 5 and 7/8 inches. It will hold 32 fluid ounces. The cup will hold 6 fluid ounces. What I like:1. It is extremely efficient in the space it takes up.2. All the essentials for eating and drinking are in one place.3. BPA free.4. You can use it in a microwave.5. The bowl is huge.6. Great for road trips. What I don’t like:1. The weight.2. It’s hard to dry.3. The straps. There is no need for them. Easy to remove.I would just like to comment on what I didn’t like. First, at 10.4 ounces this is pretty heavy for backpacking. I have a lightweight plastic cup and plate that weighs 4 ounces together. For backpacking I think the weight trumps the space saving. For car camping it isn't a problem. Secondly, both the bowl and the cup are hard to dry, especially on the outside. There are rings on both of them that come off. After you wash the cup and/or bowl, you need to take the rings off to get all the water. On the cup there is a small ridgeline that makes it tougher to dry.I like this because on a day hike it works fine. I am not so concerned about weight. Besides using it for myself I would consider using it as a water bowl for my dog. As long as you didn’t get the outside wet it would be easy to dry and it will fit the heads of most dogs. I might very well consider taking the cup along with my lightweight backpacking bowl. The combined weight of those are 4.4 ounces. Without hesitation I would take these on a road trip. You could avoid using a lot of plastic.
