About O'Neill
Back in1952, Jack O'Neill opened the first Surf Shop in a garage. He shaped balsa surfboards and sold accessories like paraffin wax and vests he started gluing together from neoprene. When the vests started selling, Jack decided to go into the wetsuit business, and the Surf Shop became a local gathering place. Soon surfers were riding more waves, and riding them better, in large measure because they could enjoy longer sessions in cold water in their new neoprene suits.
Surfers' territories expanded -- Northern California became a year-round surf zone, and people were surfing New Hampshire and Rhode Island in January. Explorations and transplants to surf culture opened up Oregon, Washington, and Canada. O'Neill eventually relocated to a large manufacturing facility, and his surf shop has morphed into an international company, leading the world's wetsuit market and innovating beach lifestyle sportswear in the US, Japan, and Europe.

I bought this top for an upcoming water park day to protect against sunburns. Normally I wear a normal swimsuit top with sunscreen, but even with diligent reapplication of sunscreen every 2 hours, I usually get slight sunburn on the tops of my shoulders and neck. Using this top prevented all sunburns for a full day at the water park, which was amazing.The sizing is a little on the small size. I am 5'2," 114lbs and I usually fit a size small in tops and small just fit. I tried the medium, but it was a little too big in the sleeves and armpit area.

I am 5"4" , 122lbs, 34B and ordered size Medium. The fit is fitted but not too tight. I can probably fit in a small but will be snug which is how you're suppose to wear a rash guard. But I wanted to it to be a little loose so I picked size Medium. The material is nice and thick (not the thin see through kind). Color is a dark pink, not neon which might look like it from the picture. The length is on the longer side which covers my belly and does not ride up in the water. I like this product and recommend it.

The design is stylish and eye-catching. The fit is spot-on when you figure out your size, offering a snug yet flexible feel that doesn't restrict movement. I am 5.1' ,120 lbs and 37" chest; I bought a large and it fits me very well. The fabric seems to be durable, yet incredibly soft against the skin. What I love most about this rash guard is its versatility. It can be worn on its own for sun protection and comfort, or as a layer underneath a wetsuit for added warmth and insulation in cooler waters.

I'm US:4 or S in clothing, ordered M, as multiple reviews were stating "size up" and it turns out to be perfect! Quality is great and it's skin fit. I'm 5.9 /174 tall.I also ordered another one from Amazon same brand but different supplier in same size, as I was worried this one would not get on time before my vacation. I noticed, huge difference in fabric and fit, my only guess that it wasn't authentic.If you are looking for quality and authentic, I would suggest getting from here, even though it's a bit more expensive than other Amazon sells offer. At least now I understand the reason why.

My husband and I took surf lessons in Cancun a few years ago and I bought a rash guard of a different name brand with half sleeves (just above the elbow). The whole time I found myself wishing I had bought a long sleeved one instead. When you're paddling, the place where your arm meets the board is where a majority of the friction occurs and with the salt water is got to be torture after an hour or so. If you are searching for a rash guard for the purposes of surfing, I cannot recommend buying long sleeves enough!! My husband and I are going surfing again in Hawaii next month and I didn't want a repeat of Mexico so I bought this. First I was very pleased to find that the medium actually fit me really well! In the other name brand I had to send back two and size WAY up before I got one that fit, and even then it was pretty tight. I am small chested with a long torso, broad shoulders, hourglass waist and disproportionately large hips. I normally wear size medium in tops so I was very pleased to find that this was true to size and extremely comfortable! It's also long enough in the arms and torso which is something I struggle with in tops in general. The quality is very good and it looks cool on. I used it last weekend while white water rafting the snake river and it was perfect! It dries very fast and isn't too hot even though it's black and long sleeved and I find this one doesn't roll up at the bottom on me like my other one did. I highly recommend for outdoor adventure women!

This is a really good rash guard. I usually wear a medium (I'm 36D-DD), sometimes a large, but I decided to keep the large. The medium was too tight at the shoulders and elbows to be comfortable for swimming. The medium wasn't that tight through the chest, it has a lot of stretch. The fabric is a nice weight and seems like high quality. It has side seaming which pulls the waist in a bit. The pink was a really nice true, bright fuchsia, it looks more purple in some of the pictures then in person. I took off one star because I often wear petite (I'm 5'2") and the sleeves are a little long, but not too bad. I wear a lightly padded tankini top underneath for support and modesty. I'm not crazy about wearing branded products, I always feel like they should pay me an advertising fee. But I will say that the printing is nicely done, not that big, and gives interest to what would otherwise be a plain front. I didn't find it to hard to remove when wet, but I did allow it to dry a little first. The neckline isn't that high, just enough to give coverage from the sun. I would prefer a partial or full zipper so I could adjust for comfort, and for ease of getting on and off. Only having worn it once, I can't speak to how it will wear. Love that is has an SPF 50 built in. Not sure how long the SPF will last, but the fabric is thick enough for sun protection either way. Overall I would say this is a great product, and I would consider getting one in another color.

True to size !!!! You have to know your measurements because it's skin tight; so much that it's even a little hard to get it on the first time until you get the hang of it.Ordered a Small. Measurements 34A - 27- 36 and it's snug.The only downside was that it rises up in the water, I have a few other rashguards from other brands like Volcom and they don't rise up, but it's also because they are a little bigger; However, it arrived sooner than expected, really keeps me safe from the sun; it deserves the 5 stars.If I needed more room to breathe, I would've gotten a medium, but I already have other mediums and perhaps I also wanted to feel a little sexy with this one ;)The Deep Sea color is alittle brighter than shown on the picture, nonetheless a beautiful color !

I purchased this shirt soley for sun coverage. I am a teacher with two kids so during the summer it is up to me to cover myself with sunscreen and that can get tricky and annoying. This shirt has made that whole process so much easier since I don't need to apply sunscreen to my back anymore. I am a size small but like my tops to be a little bigger and longer so I usually get a medium. I got a medium for this sun shirt, as well. The fit is good. It fits snug around my arms, which I wanted for ease of swimming. The trunk of the shirt is a little baggy but not bad - it is not skin tight - at least not on me. The length of the sleeves is perfect, comes right up to my wrists and I can even pull it so it goes a little longer. The length of the trunk is good, as well, and it doesn't ride up. I have compliments every time I wear it and it is great to not have to worry about sunscreen on the areas that the shirt covers. I live in AZ and wore this on a 115 degree day at the water park and I didn't die of heat exhaustion. I did want to get wet right away to cool down, though. It dries pretty quickly and actually keeps you a little cooler as compared to just wearing a bathing suit alone. LOVE this shirt - it is worth every penny.
