Not currently breastfeeding but I have used other nursing covers when I was breastfeeding. What I really like about this is the magnetic closure; though I can still see myself putting the strap over my head to remove, it’s a nice option to have as none of the other covers I’ve used had that.The muslin cotton is thin but soft. I put on the green cover and my husband stated that it was a little see through, but I think if the muslin was any thicker to prevent that it would get too hot. Also, I don’t mind that it is a little see through. If some oddball wants to look/stare they’ll do it regardless what kind of cover you have on lolWhat I wasn’t too fond of is the inner plastic neckline. I like that the structured neckline lets me see my little one and it keeps the cover off their face but it was a little cumbersome trying to position it just right. HOWEVER, I did not fully adjust the strap that goes around my neck, so it may be just that??So you may or may not have to do some wrangling with the neckline if your little one is fussy/kicking/crying and you’re trying to get both of you covered as fast as you can but the cover is wide enough that you won’t be totally exposed even if you did.
