I know this guy is expensive but what a difference the right tool for the right job makes. This saved me so much more time than the cheap one I was using that would not hold and I would have to really crank down on. I would buy this again.

Was hoping to get a quality Noga holder, but this is junk. The head has so much side to side slop that it's completely useless. I didn't need to use it until after the return window closed of course, so I have another expensive paper weight.

I own several $20 Noga knockoffs that basically work the same way. I've even gone through them and lapped some internal mating surfaces, lubricated them, replaced hardware and generally worked them over. They work pretty well but this real Noga is like night and day. The fit and finish is nicer but the real plus is that they lock up totally solid with a quarter turn and don't move. I also really like the fine adjustment. Most of the clones have an adjustment screw with a long lever- a quarter turn of the adjuster is more than the indicator's range. This one is designed properly and I can easily zero out to tenths. They cost about 3x but I have to say they're worth it.
