660 nm: AquaLux LED offers true 660 nm deep red LEDs. Unlike competing LED fixtures using just cheaper and mass-produced 630-640 nm orange red LEDs. 660 nm spectrum is one of the most efficient wavelengths for plant photosynthesis as well as offering a warmer look to an aquarium.

I bought this light sept 2023 and it is now august 2024 and for a while now it has been turning off randomly and would need the two cords unplugged and then plugged back in again for it to start working. Well today it died completely and will not longer turn on. I'm disappointed that it lasted for such a short period of time as when it was working properly it was a great light and all the ways it could be adjusted were exactly what I was looking for. I will be on the hunt for another light now I guess, hopefully my next light lasts much much longer than this one did...

I used the auto on/off timer setting. The light was bright and the plants loved it. I would have preferred a slower more gradual sunrise/sunset. The light worked great for my 2.5G aquarium until yesterday when it abruptly stopped working.As a replacement, I bought the same brand but newer model with more programming features

Bought this for my frog's new bioactive terrarium, and it is absolutely PHENOMENAL! The plants look super healthy, and the light makes everything look so pretty and bright. The timer is good, although I don't really use it since I already have it attached to an automatic timer. Still, though, super good. It has several light settings, and the blue light is great for seeing what my little dude gets himself into at night without bothering him all that much.

My son is putting together a fish tank and basically said "Mom, buy this." I had zero expectations, so it was easy to please me. This is a pretty cool light compared to the last one I had in 1987. The lightweight design is sleek, totally not clunky like the old days. The deep blue color is pretty for night time. So long as it holds up, I'm happy. Oh and hopefully the fish like it. They didn't respond to my questioning.

I have been a avid user of nikrew lights for 2 years. Specifically the sky led. I loved the easy controls that i can just plug into a smart timer. With the new gen of sky led i figured id give this a go because it has the old style controller. So far its great. Only been on the tank 3 weeks and the plant growth is solid. I run it for 11 hours on med power just like every other tank i have and am very happy with it. I will update if there is any issues but i dont see there being any!

I bought this lamp in March 6th 2023, it stopped working on January 12th 2024. Worked for 10.5 months. Good lamp, plants grows well, if not for such a short service life... As it turned out, the lamp mode regulator had failed. I connected it directly without it and the lamp continues to work, only now in one maximum mode.

Light worked great for a year. Over the last few weeks as it was on it would flicker between blue white and soft white with out being touched.Came home one evening to the lights on the controller toggling on and off with the timer types. I unplugged it as want able to turn off and now won’t power back on.

Expensive custom light bar for my Fluval V died.This much more affordable light works perfectly, AND has very useful extra features.Adjustable brightness and blue color have cured the overbright Fluval that grew toooo much algae.Timer function very helpful and frees up a stand alone lamp timer that is no longer needed.Highly recommended.

Works really well, grows all my submerged plants, I have a tall 20 gallon, which I put widthwise on one end of the tank. I like the timer, and the adjustable red/blue shift is pretty cool. The night light looks pretty cool. I don't use the functions very much any more, just leave it on timer so the plants get what they need.Update: almost exactly one year later, the light seemingly died. It did weird things, was really dim. Glad I found the amazon review that said holding W and B buttons down together resets it. Working back to normal. Thanks!

It's okay on a 10g gallon. Perfect for tanks less than 10 gallons. (Ideally 5 gallons) I'd up the size if you want full coverage as this size (12-18 inches) refers to the hinges instead of the light. The hinges are sturdy if places right. It can feel wobbly if placed in a risky position. Luckily, it's waterproof so if it does slide in, it won't harm your livestock.If you're considering buying this product, buy the bigger size of your ideal tank. The size is referring to the extension of the hinges and not the light!As for lighting, the focal point it generates light from is at the center and it doesn't generate equal lighting to its sides. There is a timer which is user friendly. It's got time duration, day and night mode, and the option to utilize which spectrums. Is it powerful? It's decent enough to get my Christmas moss and red root floaters growing. Ideally, aim for larger to cover all dimensions of the tank to ensure all plants get light.It's pretty sleek and black. Nothing too fancy and nothing too ugly. It does it's purpose and if I were to purchase this item... I'd do my measurements correctly and adjust accordingly. But bigger is always better!

I like the product, it lights up my 21L aquarium nicely.However, be aware that if ordering for Australia/NZ that it ships with an USA AC Plug and you will require to use or purchase your own power adapter before being able to use it.The product page does not state this and the seller's response is simply to offer a return.
