Does not fit a Nikon D850 like it claims. It bumps into the cold shoe and hampers the ability to connect an external flash. The bar is quick release but i dont know how much it can be tighten safely. Im thinking of returning because i dont trust it

The top part touches and blocks the right dial when using the included shoe mount because it is thinner in the middle. Without that mount is only a single point at the camera bottom on the quick release plate, it no longer prevents camera rotation and the top handle feels unstable. I can imagine that this may be fixed by using a different shoe mount with a longer thread and some additional thumb nuts, but it will be more uncomfortable to use and will look ugly. This is either bad design or is not intended for Panasonic and Sony. Can't tell anything about the Canon and Nikon models mentioned in the title. I will return it for refund asap... faster than it came.

I was really impressed with how well this was made. I’ve got my Canon 90 rigged out with this and it’s perfect. You can tweak it many ways too. I love being able to easily change things and have them stay put once they are there.

Finding a cage for the Nikon D500 that doesn't break the bank was a chore. I found the universal Niceyrig and thought I would give it a try. It turned out to be a great rig for what I needed. It has nice fit and finish and all parts mate up well. It comes unassembled and there are no instructions included. Mine did come with all the screws and an allen wrench for assembly. The only issue I had was the top of the camera bulges out just enough that the top bracket wouldn't lay flush. I got a few washers, added them and it fit fine. I'll replace the washers with something more fitted in the near future. There are copious amounts of holes for mounting accessories. If your looking for something basic that has potential and there isn't a custom fitted cage for your model camera, then I definitely suggest looking into this rig.
