The 15MM ROD ACCESSORY COMBINATION is dedicated for both 2 pair 15mm rods, which has inner M12 thread on each end of the rod. It provides a connection solution for industrial 15mm standard rods, as well as protects your equipment from accidentally sliding off from the rod.
Suitable for DSLR camera rig, matte box, follow focus 15mm rod rail support system.
Note: Do not work for carbon fiber rods / un-threaded rods / 1/2" threaded rods.

Like most, my camera rigs are comprised of many different mfgs. Nothing is more frustrating than when one brand doesn't work with another.These rod bits work well with my other NiceyRig parts and all my SmallRig parts.The couplers perfectly couple my niceyrig rods to my SR rods. I use the end caps to make sure components cannot accidently slide off the rig. I don't use the rubber bits for anything, they aren't required normally.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase...

I needed to lengthen the rail system on a hand held camera rig. This worked well. It allowed me to add an extra 4 inches and hang a counter balance on the back end to balance out the load.

I like these, they're nice and do the job, the rubbers just pop out a bit if you tighten it and honestly, it was a bit pricey for just a couple of "cheap" screwy things.

For my rig I wanted to be able to break it down to a small package for transportation. I used a 8 inch rods and 4 inch rods with these connectors. They are have smooth threads and work as expected.
