I was able to replace my broken trailer connector in about a half an hour, which includes reading the directions, marking each wire, and finishing the installation- and I am not an electrician!

This works great and can be taken apart and rebuilt. I did so when I noticed that there was a tiny amount of rust in the guys of the terminals. I covered it with dielectric grease. The only reason I even noticed this is that I wanted to route the wires backwards so I took the head apart. The fasteners and terminals are good quality and the pigtail is plenty long. While it's not bulletproof (like billet stainless steel or something), it's definitely not cheap.

I have a 2014 Honda CRV with a flat 4 pin plug. I bought a new boat with a 7 pin plug and this adapter was the perfect solution. It came complete with a mounting bracket and appears to be a quality product. Time will tell how it holds up.
