I used it twice & the on/off button quit working. I tried to contact the company for warranty, but it's a dead end. I had to go thru Amazon to get a refund. Don't buy this Chinese product & expect it to last or be able to contact them for warranty.

This Neoteck Digital Runout Gauge Set looks decent but is not a precise and/or reliable instrument. I used it to measure the runout of my brake rotor and had the following issues:a) I could not set the instrument to Zero. I had to push the Zero button 20 times or more before getting a "0.00" reading on the display, andb) After calibration to zero the instrument would show a different reading for the same measuring rotor point.Maybe I got a defective product but based on my experience, If you are looking for a precise and reliable runout gauge then AVOID the NeoTeck. Invest a little bit more money and buy a reputable brand.

Worked well for my purpose: minimizing runout on brake rotor replacement. Some enhancements I would have liked: 1) Optional LCD backlighting when working in a dark space (e.g, a wheel well), 2) Brief delay when zeroing (very hard to zero without jiggling the device), 3) Display the range (would be useful for runout) and 4) Hard on/off switch (slow battery bleed with electronic switch). Overall, good value for the price.

Likes - guage positioning arm is solid when locked, easier to zero than pointer guage. Also came with spare battery.

I don't have the tooling to do a detailed test of the gauge but I did compare it to a couple of others I had that were the same style from different manufacturers and the readings consistently matched. The arm works well to hold in multiple positions as long as you aren't clamping to something that is vibrating and with the vise grips as an extra option it is easy for me to use both on my mill and on my brake discs.
