While the fit and feel of the battery grip is fantastic, I keep getting "incompatible battery" warnings regardless of whether I'm usong Neewer's third party batteries or actual Nikon batteries. Also my Frames per second are sometimes halved when usong the grip. Sadly I missed my window to return it or I would have.

Enough battery power to get through 6k pictures at an airshow, doesn't add a lot of weight to a frame + telephoto lens and it makes it easier to hold the camera for extended periods when tracking birds or planes.

Didn't want to spend $400 on the Nikon grip and I saw this bundle had two high-capacity batteries so I bought it. I've purchased Neewer products before and they've always been a reliable, low-cost alternative to first party camera accessories in my experience. This battery grip is no exception.Positives:Good build quality for a third party product. I wouldn't say the buttons feel quite as high quality as the buttons on my Nikon camera (like 90% as good), but considering this grip is a quarter of the price of Nikon's version (with two batteries included) the build quality is more than adequate. It feels like if you take care of this piece of equipment it won't fail you.Great battery life. The included batteries, so far, have performed just as well as Nikon's EN-EL15C model.Grip is fully recognized by my Z6 II. You can customize buttons to do exactly what you need them to do.Improved ergonomics. As someone who suffers from wrist pain when taking portrait-oriented images on long shoots, being able to avoid twisting my wrist constantly is a huge comfort, even with the increased weight of using the grip.Negatives:If you DON'T use both of the provided Neewer batteries in the grip at the same time, the camera takes a little while longer to boot up compared to when not using the grip. I noticed this after I hot-swapped one of the Neewer batteries for a Nikon EN-EL15C. The difference in start-up time is marginal at best (usually 0.5-0.75 sec longer), but just something to keep in mind. When using both of the NEEWER batteries, the camera's start-up time is identical to when not using the grip, at least for me.

I bought this grip not knowing what to expect. With two batterie and a charger provided in addition to the grip itself how could I lose. Well, well, well much to my surprise I attached the new grip and inserted the charged batteries that came with the grip and fired up the camera. BINGO a home run out of the gate. The camera recognized the batteries in the grip, identified their charge levels and I was ready to shoot some photos. The grip is made primarily of plastic with a few metal components to reinforce the 1/4" mounting base. Despite the light plastic feel, the grip is very well put together and should last a while. It does everything I need it to do for a fair price. So far so good.

My camera quit working in the middle of a job. (Why I always have a backup) the camera would shoot one image and then say the shutter was closed. Eventually it quit responding at all. When I got home I detached the grip, and the camera resumed functioning. It feels cheap. Worked about 6 weeks.

I should start with saying this is my first camera grip. I was very hesitant to order this instead of the Nikon factory grip but I had no desire to spend $400 when I didn’t know if I would like it. I got this today and it seems to be decent quality. It is built well and feels good in your hands. The rubber texturing is very nice. The shutter button and dials feel kind of cheap and don’t have the same feel of the Nikon system itself but I can deal. I bought this for the extra battery capacity and so I didn’t have to crank my wrist when doing portraits. I haven’t used the batteries that it came with yet as they’re still charging. Overall it seems to be exactly what I needed and can’t complaint at the price point. Will update if needed down the road.UPDATE: I have shot probably 3 more portrait sessions with this grip. It’s great! Battery life on the two batteries in came with is insane. I’m getting 1500+ shots on a 1/4 of one battery Very impressed!

I gotta say.. after spending thousands of dollars on a camera, it’s products like these that swoop in and provide relief. I usually prefer OEM everything on any device that surpasses 1k, however my intent was to eventually have two of these in total anyways, so I decided to at least give this brand a try first, from experience.. I have already purchased numerous NEWEER products for many other items I own because they truly are an amazing brand. You can tell the company has quality standards and thus far they have never disappointed me.For a fraction of the cost this product works flawlessly with the NIKON Z7ii, I have absolutely zero complaints. It gives you the same feel and look as the full body size Z9 or similar camera.I’ve toggled back and forth with and without this extra battery pack because clearly size can get in the way sometimes so it’s nice to have the option to shed weight and profile when and if need be, as well if I’m only shooting stills then it’s really not necessary, but there when you need extended video clips or long shoots, either way just a great add on to have.As pictured I have it attached to a frame rig designed for the Z7ii with Mb-N11battery grip, the fit is perfect. To each their own, as everyone has their own specific needs, wants, or requirements. This offers you a way to save hundreds of dollars and provide the same capabilities.Yes, it can be charged via USB C while attached to camera at the provided port. The batteries provided with it are recognized fully by the Z7ii, all the buttons sync up and operate absolutely fine. NEWEER products are always on my radar, as they provide great alternatives to so many different brands!

The fit was perfect, and the grip allows you to 'hot swap' batteries. The buttons are programmable within the camera - the camera sees it as a native MB-N11 battery grip. It feels solid - not cheap - and the latch is secure.I love Nikon cameras but can't justify $300-$400 for a Nikon-branded battery grip. For about $90, this is a great alternative.Photo included in the review - ignore the tripod mounting plate attached to the bottom of the battery grip.
