Purchased this for my new Nikon D750. Charged both batteries to full strength yesterday and began using the camera for setup of controls. Actually only took 4 photos. Checked battery level of battery in grip and was shocked that battery had discharged to 13%. The Nikon battery that came with the camera and was installed in the camera was reading 99% full. I then checked the other DTSE battery that came with the grip and was not being used since I had one Nikon for the camera. The DTSE battery was fully charged on the charger and when I checked it was down to 11%. When I put one of the batteries in the Nikon charger the orange charge light began to flicker rapidly. Something was evidently wrong with the battery. I am greatly upset and will be returning the grip and the batteries to Amazon and buy the Nikon grip and an extra Nikon battery. I guess you get what you pay for. I must say the quality, fit and finish of the grip is excellent. In the instruction it states to make sure the unit is off by using the IR remote. The only thing that the IR does is triggers the picture taking mode. Does the unit stay on even when the camera battery switch is off?
