We have an albino leopard gecko that only cryptic basks in order to avoid burning. She loves this little hut it is literally the only place she will sleep and she has so many other options in her tank. It really helps with her shedding and is well made. I refill the water on the top every 2-3 days.

My Palmetto corn snake has three hides in his enclosure and this is his favorite, probably because it provides additional humidity. It looks great in either a desert or a forest habitat.

Love the look of it but Added water to the top as suggested and when I went to clean it one day I noticed mold on the bottom of the plate top. Ended up throwing away the top so it's basically no longer a hide.

It quickly became my leopard gecko's favorite hide. I did a quick clean before it went in, bit difficult to tell if the terracotta is totally sanitized because it's so porus, but thats a pretty minor thing. Its pretty easy to clean, just lots of little nooks and crannies on the inside. Super easy setup, literally just put the dish in the top. It's supposed to be easy to take the little dish out of the top, but I just fill it daily and don't bother with it. Little hard to get my fingers under the dish. Surprisingly spacious on the inside. It's like a little tower. He likes to boob his nose on the underside of the terracotta. Looks like plastic, not real wood, but I bet some fake plants are going to make it blend right in.
