For the price , it was a really great value. The only downside to this product. The Hat did not adjust well. The Gown was nice product. The material was to hot and heavy.

Overall good quality material. My 3 star rating is because of the umraveling thread at the very front noted shortly after unpackaging. Despite this defect, I wore the gown. I would probably buy it again, particularly since I inadvertently ordered a gown made for someone 5 inches shorter that I am.

I got this regalia as a more economic option for my doctoral hooding ceremony. As a professor, I wanted high quality without spending nearly 5 times the amount for the regalia that was specific to my school. I loved the way this looked and felt and I am excited to wear it for my students’ graduations in the future.

The fit was pretty big but I got it tailored and it turned out great saving me hundreds of dollars if I would have ordered it through my school.

I don't have $1,000 to spend on the official doctoral robes for my school, but I need one because I'm a faculty member who is expected to attend graduation ceremonies in perpetuum. I decided a cheap version could at least hold me over a few years. I was VERY surprised by the quality of the robes. I'm actually going to keep the robes as my official graduation regalia because I don't feel like I need to buy a "nicer," more expensive version.The seams are all nicely finished, no stray threads or other issues. The pleating around the neck is very even, no areas coming loose, etc. The fabric is a good weight, not cheap or see through. The velvet stripes are all nicely hemmed and attached to the garment as well. They do not feel like the cheap, scratchy imitation velvet that you get with low-cost items. The round sleeves are even and well fitting, while it's nice to have cuffs that hold the sleeves tight to my wrists -- I saw other versions that just used an open sleeve instead of the gathered, bell sleeve that official regalia uses for doctoral robes. Everything fit well. I am very pleased with the robe and plan on using it from now on.
