Material is polyester but is not too hot to wear on a 74 degree day. I thought it was going to be too heavy to wear but I was wrong and pleasantly surprised.

I'm a plus-sized woman, and ordered this for commencement ceremonies at the university where I work. University suppliers make beautiful robes, but out of my price range! This is reasonably priced and very nice for the money. Polyester is polyester, and commencement is usually in a roasty hot room or yard. This is a nice option for those who are graduating with PhDs, or those who work at universities and rented when they did graduate. Fits very well for plus sizes, even better than I expected!

My husband and I are both professors, and we had graduation events at the same time this semester. Since we usually share regalia, we needed another set quickly and for not much money. It was perfect in both respects. It is not super high-quality, but I didn’t expect it to be at this price point. However, I also did not stick out as someone wearing cheap regalia among the other professors and graduates. Two issues I had is that the wrinkles did not really come out with ironing, and the zipper is super cheap and I fought with it on more than one occasion the day I wore it. I do plan on keeping it, but replacing the zipper with something more substantial.

This gown is beautiful! The quality is outstanding, and it is a nice weight. I am 5ft 8; it is longer than expected, so I will wear higher heels :) LOVE IT!
