Works really good the shock isn't too intense for the dog but get the point across. Love that I can correct in the boundary, BUT! now my remote is not sending anything to the collar. Both are charged and both are working as in lights flashing and making sounds but the remote will not send commands to the collar anymore.

We have a Labrador who loves to dig out and run to visit all the neighbors. We tried everything and once this was installed with just a couple of times with the buzz, no more getting out. Tanner loves his collar and sits and waits for it to be put back on after it charges. At one point we didn't realize the home base wasn't working but Tanner didn't realize bcs the collar is enough reminder for him... the Seller here stands behind this product! He communicated through email and sent out another home box /transmitter and it's working great. I would say we'll worth it, the dogs get it. No more chasing after him in the car... really it was our last resort but should have been our first... we have an acre so we did get an extra spool of wire. Oh and call before you dig to bury the wire if you need to bcs my hubby hit the very shallow internet wire. So worth the money and effort!Thank you so much for sending us the new box. If you’re gonna use this in a smaller yard with no trees and soft soil, this may work for you IF you spend time training your dog. IT DID NOT WORK OUT FOR METhis is not 13gauge wire. The flags they send may be good if you live at the beach but the plastic stems won’t stick into our Virginia soil. The collars are plastic with a belt buckle style closure.To give it the good old college try, I bought a quick disconnect collar and wire-posted 4x5 flags. I also ordered two extra spoils of wire because we have a little over an acre that we want to section off for the pooch. We also upgraded the connectors because we needed more for the extra spools of wire. These have petrolatum inside to keep the connection dry (not from Pet Command) Nice touch.I will update after we run the wire above ground to see if we can get it to work. Stay tuned.Update: we ran about 1200 ft of wire. We had to twist the wire 50ft from the radio to the loop. That was not fun :(. I recommend using 2’ sticks to attach to each end to twist the wire hand over hand. Like a baton majorette spinning. It took us about 2 hours to lay the wire above ground and hook up the radio. Yours may be quicker if your yard isn’t full of a hundred trees.Once plugged in we got a positive light for loop integrity. We set the boundary distance to 5 but couldn’t get anything on the collar receiver. We turned it to 10/max and still only just got a reaction when directly over the wire. Vibrate and shock simultaneously.Well that won’t do for training. Our GSD just bolts across the wire at will. This is concerning because once he’s on the other side the only way back through is across the wire. There is a way to disable it, but then the collar receiver beeps the whole time in this mode. Um this is the same tone a dog gets for warning before shock. Do you see a potential problem with getting your dog to come back across a hot wire?!I called Pet Command and a nice guy answered the phone and was very helpful in trouble shooting the radio transmitter. Stay tuned.Update: Pet Command suggested we do a test loop to check the collars. Still inconsistent. Randomly beeps, vibrates or shocks. They sent us a new transmitter and two new receivers. Same issue. Then they asked us to lay 1200 more feet of cable to creat a double loop.We thought because they were so willing to help we’d give it a try. We rented a trencher to under take the task. However we have very rocky and rooted yard, we broke the belt in the machine before we went 100ft. I asked for a refund and they sent it after I returned the items.I give them 2-star for good customer service and 1 star for the handheld option because that actually works. 🤨 For best results you really have to train your dog and reward them. You also need a system that is reliably consistent to communicate feedback to your dog otherwise you’re just confusing them and creating anxiety.I decided to go with a gps fence from a different vendor, it also has its (connection) issues because we live in the country, but the extensive owner and dog training gives me hope that I can unravel the confusion that Pet Command system caused.

I am very happy with my purchase of this product. Bought it shortly after rescuing a lab / pitbull mix seeing we did not have a fenced in yard. Trained him with just the remote at first, and it did not take him long to learn my commands just based on the beep. His behavior quickly changed and is now very well behaved. I give a lot of the credit to this product. He responded so well to the remote, I didn't even install the fence yet. Almost 1 year later, the collar was no longer working. I reached out to My Pet Command, and was immediately directed to a live human, who gave me some things to try. When those did not work, they quickly sent me a new collar seeing it hadn't been a full year.

I installed the line, got everything ready, used the tester to make sure the collar was working. The quality seemed nice, I enjoyed the extra little whistle it came with. The remote was nice as well. Everything seemed in order. I kept the correction level on 1 because I didn't want to do anything too drastic. My dog has had issues with getting out of the fence, so I was hoping this would be my savior.My dog got close to the fence and either there was no beep or vibration first to warn him, or it was so weak he didn't feel/hear it - either that or the beep, vibration and shock happened all at once. I later confirmed that the warnings on this collar is wildly inconsistent. I tested it multiple times on multiple sections of the fence. Sometimes it would go off, sometimes it wouldn't do anything, other times it would just immediately shock without any warning at all.I was appalled, after I brought the collar in and tested the shock on myself. I didn't know if my dog was being overdramatic ( he can be a drama king sometimes ) or if it had genuinely hurt him. Generally they say if the shock hurts you, it's going to definitely hurt your dog. This thing hurt, it STUNG me quite bad, ON LEVEL 1. There was a noticeable red mark on my arm after testing it out. I found some rubber coverings because the prongs for this DO NOT COME WITH THEM and it made literally zero difference.I should have definitely tested this product on myself first before simply putting it on my animal because now my dog won't leave my side and has been shaking/spasming for the past hour. So please, I would not advise buying this product. It's too strong even on the lowest level and there's no way to disable the shock even if I wanted to. It's unfortunate because I really, really needed this product to work.
