The product description is unclear. If you are familiar with these types of products, you likely know that this is just a protective channel for LED strip lights. However the random DIY weekend warrior that happens to run across this will probably think that it is more than what will actually be delivered. That is what happened to me. The price would seem like LED lights are included.So on a positive note, the LED lights can be replaced if you plan the installation and wiring accordingly. I was actually concerned if the quality of the LED lights in this product would hold up, because I didn't want to have to tare up my walls just to replace some cheap LED lights.The shape of these channels will require extra mud around the channels, so there will be a bulge, unless you use thinner drywall under these channels. I have not installed these yet, but I am very much looking forward to the project this spring. They are going to surround the 8 foot wide opening between our Den and the whirlpool tub. Fortunately, I do drywall work so I am fully experienced in the art of installing corner bead. A channelized corner bead is a new one on me, but I'm confident that it will be no problem at all. Having RGBW strip lights "built-in" to the corner surrounding the opening is going to take our whirlpool tub experience to a new level. These corner beads are really made well. I really like the way they created the spiral-like design of the fastening areas along the length of the strips. If you want to add LED lights in the drywall, this 5-Pack 3.3FT/1Meter Plaster in Recessed LED Channel is lightweight, but sturdy, high quality and straight. There is only 5 in a bundle...good if your wall is only 8-foot tall. However all our walls are over 9FT, so a 6-pack or longer length would be a lot more suitable for our project. The Drywall LED Diffuser has a good weather-tight fit and a lovely milky white color. It's a good product, just wish it comes in other configurations.

While remodeling our home, this came up as a last minute addition and we're thrilled with the way it came out. As this was a retrofit we needed to cut, open the drywall corner, remove the old corner bead and install this new one in its place. Unless you're being very careful while mudding this new one into place, I would fill the channel with some type of tape so as not to get drywall compound to the channel. The finished product looks amazing and we're e thrilled with it! Keep in mind this is the channel only and you still need to get the LED tape and properly wire it. I only wish that the pieces were slightly longer, perhaps in 4 ft or 5 ft sections instead of the 3 foot sections that comes as. I would definitely recommend

Muzata makes a variety of LED diffusers for strip lights in different uses. This is a bit of a niche case: it's a product that replaces corner bead on an outside corner. One then tapes and finishes the drywall with mud normally. A couple notes on this: You'll have to cut a half inch of drywall in on either side. Obviously, you'll need to repaint after installation, and I wouldn't recommend this as a retrofit, only new construction. There will be a visible hump in the plaster to transition to the corner bead, using a factory edge for your drywall is probably the best way to handle it. This only fits 8mm strips, not the standard 10 mm. Plan out how you're going to deliver power, probably through the baseboard. Other than that, its a quality, well built product with a nice diffuser.

I got these light strips to put in one of the corners of our hallway and they work great! We put these in because the kids would wake up in the middle of the night and need lighting and these seemed like the perfect solution. We use them nightly and they are still working great! A great value for the price as well.
