It's an ok brush, but it's not horsehair. Otherwise made well, and balanced, so it spins nicely.

My wife's a veteran who is revolted if leather shoes that aren't meticulously kempt. She says this buffer takes off time and requires less effort when she's getting OUR shoes just right. (She's taken on the task as one that's exclusively hers. Lucky us!)

I use this on my drill to buff my leather shoes after I’m done polishing them. Puts a great shine on them. Takes a minute and your shoes look like they were shined by a pro. Recommended.

Not real horse hair and not very close to the consistency of it either. Too soft.
