Just used this (4 liter model) in the BWCA for a week.Pros: Lightweight and compact when empty, works great with the screw-on threads directly to the MSR ceramic water filter, makes filling so much easier from shore on while on the water. Easy to hang up in camp. Wide mouth cap allows for easy drying after use - I was able to use a long wooden spoon to get paper towels all the way into the bag to dry it when I got home.Cons: The dispersing spigot is a two-part design, using a small flip spigot for slow fill or a 1/2" screw off cap for faster fill. The 1/2" cap has a very short retaining string that makes threading on and off somewhat of a hassle.Overall, great product and will use again.

We used this for backpacking and I was quite pleased. It sealed tight with absolutely no leaking despite rough handling. It had no issues with a couple tumbles from a branch or off a log during use. It can be a little tricky to get the spout right and be aware that the water will come out quickly if the bag is full, which is to be expected. Great bag for extra water, folds down small and is light weight.

Was back country camping and this was great. When empty super light, and folds down small. Filter water directly into which gave plenty to use for water bottles, cooking, and occasional rinse of a utensils or the hands. The various sizes on the lid made it easy to use and control the amount of flow.Definitely has earned a spot in my pack. The biggest down side is it takes awhile to filter 6 liters, and then it’s heavy carrying it back to camp and up sand dunes… but better than 12 trips to have enough water.

We used this most recently on a short backpacking trip. The size and portability is best in class for 6 liters of storage. It's been durable so far, but we are somewhat careful to avoid putting it anywhere the bag might be punctured.Like larger droms, this can be easily hung with the cap facing down. This is excellent for using the small nozzle to wash, and for one person to handle for pouring. We used it in conjunction with a water filter, taking the bag and filter in a superlight daypack to our water source, filling it, and then returning to our main campsite with 6l of clean water - enough for 2 people for the evening and morning.I'd buy it again, and if I need additional capacity, I'll probably buy another.

I absolutely hate water bladders. So that's out of the way, i actually like this one! I resisted getting my own bladder for awhile and always carried multiple Nalgenes on my backpacking/Snowshoeing/hiking trips. The system worked well, until i was ready to cover more miles, be out for more days in more remote terrain. Finally before an epic 80 mile trek in August 2018, I took the dive into this MSR Bladder. My backpack has a dedicated bladder sleeve that doesn't impact volume on the inside of the pack and this fits like a glove. The water has NO plastic taste, and that's with filtering water through an MSR Trailshot. The bag doesn't leak, and its seen about 250 miles on trail as well as being hung from trees and bushes. So far this appears to be a very well made, light weight water bladder. I especially like the cap that has three separate ways to open it. The smallest valve is useful for rinsing off hands or brushing teeth or even a light stream to help clean your cook set up. Once again pleased with MSR quality.

Brilliant product, very light and packs nice and small. Fits well into my kangaroo pocket of my rucksack and makes life a lot easier having to find rivers less regularly. Probably true that it affects the taste of the water but it isn’t too bad and when having to add chlorine tablets anyway it doesn’t make a difference to the overall taste.

Bin sehr zufrieden

I actually bought both this one and the heavier Red one from MSR. both work great. We needed to port water from water sources up to a mile from camp. Tied them together at the top so they could hang over the shoulder. The only problem is the limited amount of water that comes out of the tiny spout on the cap. They also fit nice, full, in the kangaroo pocket on the back of both of my Osprey Aether and Atmos backpacks.
