I ordered this controller for my RV that I installed 1215 watts of solar panels on the roof. I liked it because it has a remote for checking performance, but the remotes does not flush mount as do other devices. Instead it screws to the wall using the flange on the back side of the unit and it sticks out from the wall quite a bit. Worse yet, the cable for the remote connects to the top, so once mounted, you would need to cut a hole in the wall above it and bring the cable through to the outer surface of the wall to plug it in. Very unattractive and in the way in an RV that has very little room. I will likely send it back and purchase one with Bluetooth.

I have bought three of these over the past three years, two 100 amp units and a 60 amp unit, and all three are working very well. I contacted the company at one point with a question and received a very helpful and timely reply.UPDATE October 2024: I bought two more of these (100 amp) just to store in my Faraday cage.

After about 6 months it just charges when it wants to. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. So have to find a replacement.

At first l thought this unit was a good product. At nine months if use it almost caught fire then stopped working. Called Amazon, as could not reach seller, Amazon gave a number that was DISCONNECTED!!! Thankfully, Amazon refunded the purchase price after l returned the item!!! THEN, upond purchasing a different unit from another company, l found that the new controller produces TWICE the output and was EVEN lesser priced... DO NOT BUY THESE! THEY COULD BURN YOUR HOUSE DIWN!!!

I have the 100A unit rated for max 1300 watts of panels. This is the second year runnig. I have 3x 330watts panels (990watts total) in paralell. Panel load voltage is around 32-36 volts and panel current around 27 amps in good sun . This will delivery 60+ amps @ 12v (13.8v) batteries(640AH LifePO4) in good sun. With 3000w pure sine wave inverter I use about 3.5 kwh daily ussally no problem unless the sun hides away. This takes care of my off grid cabin. Make sure batteries get connected FIRST. Documentation is not good but if you have some electonics knowledge it is all there in the little pamphlet I had to read it an decipher a few times. Over all I’m pleased so far. The fan runs a bit when the unit is warm but so does the one on my inverter may relocate to a shed in the future for more quiet opperation.

I have 2x 600W 50V pannels, resulting in a 1200W 100V array. My battery system is 12V.As soon as I connected the battery the charger turned on, and then I connected my array, positive in positive, negative in Negative, like mentionned in instruction. As soon as I did that the charger started smoking, I was scared that it damage my whole system, I quickly disconnect everything. I cannot recommand this product to anyone. I will personally pay for higher end products such as Victron.

This unit is a little difficult to read but with some effort I think most people can figure it out.So far it has worked well over the summer and that is all I can ask. I don't know about support because I haven't needed any and that is a good thing.I would buy this one again.

Just like the sticker on the side says... set the charge voltage and it just works. I bought these to replace two Epever 8420AN units that died 3 years into service.Onto the down sides, I have been in contact with support several times asking for the serial port specifications so I could add it to my automation, they have stonewalled sending me any data but have offered me the LCD remote. They advertise RS485 all over the listing but there is NO documentation they will include or share for it. This is completely opposite of the Epever units where I was able to email the company and get a full manual on the serial specifications. Epever had nearly 100 pages of online manuals, this thing has a folded piece of poster card. Seller, Please send someone to the back room to write some documentation and a simple vbasic windows program to monitor the thing from a PC.Fan is extremely loud, and in the morning it goes through a "half on" cycle where the fan turns on and off several times a second for an hour or so.Stars awarded as follows: 5 because it works and was received timely - 1 for advertising RS485 but not supporting it - 1 fan noise and poor documentation = 3 starsUpdate: as I have started to use the load output I have discovered that feature is broken. Using 24H on, it shuts itself down every 6-10 hours with no predictability and requires resetting the controller. If you intend to use this for ONLY charging your batteries you should be ok. Down to 1 star because only 1 feature actually works as intended, charging.

I will only review something after testing it. Have installed this unit in Costa Rica where it is hot and humid. Many good electronics have failed on me in that climate. Have had 3 Milwaukee cordless tools and 3 batteries die within one year. This controller has worked perfectly for just over two years. I have 6 300 watt panels. I know that in full sun I am a bit over the capacity but that has not affected operation. Good value

This charge controller works very well for me the 2 months or more ive been using it. I have 2.3k solar array and LiFePo batteries. The charge controller is easy to use and gives all the information needed. Up to now it has worked flawlessly. For the price its good quality, it does the job and i can monitor very easily the condition of the batteries and solar power.UPDATE !!! It worked great since September 7th. Today January 8th it caught fire in the battery in terminal. Luckily, I was there at the time and noticed it smoking. There are no ways to contact the seller to ask for refund. There are other reviews that said this will burn your house down. I should have taken notice. For $200 I expected a better performance. Im updating this review because i found the reason for the failure. Using 8 gauge wire wasnt heavy enough. The 50 amps from the solar panels heated the wire too much. The constant heating and cooling caused the wire to become loose in the terminal and arced until it burnt out. I would recomend 4 Gauge multi strand copper wire for use with this controller. A regular check on the terminals with a screwdriver now and then also. The company sent me a new controller which is working flawlessly and not overheating the 4 Gauge connections now. Customer support from both Amazon and the seller has been excellent.
