My daughter loves to help in the kitchen but she is not ready for my knives. This set lets her feel independent while she helps and I know she will be safer using these tools until we she older. She really loves the wooden chopper in this set and of course since it's pink it's a win.

Our grand daughter is a little young to really appreciate the set, but that has not stopped her mom from using the tools to make eating fun and exciting for her.The tools are not sharp in a way that will cut a person at all, yet they can slice through veggies and fruits cleanly. The set comes with a wide variety of tools for cutting, shaping, slicing and completes the kit with a toddler approved set of cutting boards.A great way to introduce a toddler to the working side of the kitchen, which can lead to fun projects and memories together!

This is a pretty nice set for toddlers, and maybe young children who don't have any experience cooking yet. It could also just as well be used as an upscale play kitchen set.The cutting boards are a good size for prepping small amounts of food, and the included knives do cut many varieties of common fruits/veggies (the firmer it is though, the uglier the cut will be). The different sizes of knives are pretty much just for show - they all function at equal quality, and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference to my kids which size they use at any given time. My only exception to this is the solid pink bread knife; and even then, the only real difference it makes is to serve as a way of teaching my little ones the difference between a chef knife and a bread knife, for their own future reference. The shape cutters are a big hit though. They cut through and pop the shapes out easily, so my kids have fun using them. The wooden cutter is great for baking, when we need to divide dough or fondant. The crinkle cutter is a neat idea, but for more advanced chefs. It's not sharp, exactly, but can cause some damage if not used properly. And the vegetable peeler is quite the opposite - that thing is only good for shaving a block of jello...This is a great starter set though, for safely teaching toddlers (or new chefs of any age) proper knife-handling skills, until confidence is built up enough to graduate to using real knives. I'm a bit disappointed that the vegetable peeler is pretty much useless, but other than that, this is a pretty good set to start young chefs out with. And it's easy to clean, too, which is always a bonus in my book.

I got this set for my five year old daughter because she loves being in the kitchen and helping cook. This kit was perfect size for her and also safe for her to help out in the kitchen! Such a safer option than letting them use adult utensils(never let my daughter, but for older kids). They work well and are super cute! They are good quality and are easy to clean!
