This turns out to be my Grandkids go-to kitchen accessories. They're ages almost 5 and 2 1/2 and really enjoy this set. The list of items is well thought out and well developed. It was a Christmas 2024 gift for them to have at Grandma's house when they visit. The recipe cards are very interactive in determining ingredients needed and portion sizes. The mixer is simple in design but really engages the kids as they mix and stir their ingredients

Hello, my 3 year old Goddaughter loved this! She made the muffin recipe on the box. It was “yucky, Godmommy” she said. But she is learning her fractions (yes, at 3!) and we bake real cookies and breads. She excels with half cup and quarter cup measurements. That’s all you need to know. Go buy one, because I highly recommend this product. Thank you.

This was a Christmas present for my 2 year old grandson. He loves to 'cook' and his mom suggested this toy after I had already given him several other 'cooking' toys. He played all of Christmas Day with it and still plays a lot every day according to his mom. She told me I couldn't have chosen a better gift for him...!

I got this for my 4 year old granddaughter and she loved it. The measuring of the sugar and flour, the teaspoons, it is all so cute and makes learning fun. I would recommend this to anyone for preschool age children, although our 1st grader loved helping too.

This set looked adorable and I love they included play ideas to introduce math concepts. But this doesn’t even come close to making up for the bad quality of this toy. When I opened the package it was clearly already opened and returned and they didn’t bother to repackage it. This alone would have annoyed me, considering this toy cost $50, but the bigger issue is the toy was shipped broken. The entire top of the mixer had broken off as it was only held together with a little dot of wood glue. We had just the mixer from the Mellissa and Doug cake set and the quality is so much better. The mixer top is screwed into the support and the mechanism to twist the mixer and pretend to mix is so much smoother and easier for a kid. This just has a little wood ball glued on top (which I’m afraid will be a choking hazard if that comes unglued as well). I’m really disappointed with this set which was bought as a birthday present for my son. I thought kiwi co was supposed to be a good brand but the quality is very low compared to Melissa and Doug or loveevery but the price point is the same or higher. It also seems super shady I tried multiple times to leave this review on the kiwi co site (where this toy has a 4.9 star rating) and my review never goes through or shows up. So clearly they don’t post poor reviews. As my kiddo is getting bigger there are a number of toys that looked cool from kiwi co but with the cost/quality issue I won’t buy from them again. I’m careful to check who the seller is when buying from Amazon. I’m not a huge fan of Amazon but as this toy was sold through kiwi co store I don’t think this is a fake. I think it’s just a crappy quality toy. The play ingredients and cooking utensils were cute. The eggs and butter stick seem sturdy and like they’d hold up but the cooking utensils were very thin wood that I can see breaking easily.

This toy is adorable and my children love the details -- the measuring spoons, all of the baking components, etc. I'm not quite sold on the quality -- the mixer came apart rather quickly and some of the wooden components feel a bit rough.

This looks great but is for Christmas and I won’t have my niece open it until then.

I was not prepared for the surprises that awaited me and my grandchildren as we opened KiwiCo’s Baking and Fractions crate. The simple, sturdy, wooden pieces (there is nothing like the feel of a warm wooden toy) took me way back to my childhood. The pieces are large enough to be child safe and substantial (not easily lost under the couch) yet small enough to be held and manipulated by a small child.Children are always fascinated by the magical cooking activities in the kitchen that result in meals and especially treats. KiwiCo makes use of this fascination to brilliantly introduce counting, measuring, and the often-elusive concept of fractions with simple recipes (exercises… shhhhh) that are visual and hands-on. The included play-recipes are paired with easy real recipes that, with the assistance of an adult, brings the child into the kitchen to see first hand how these concepts are applied to create the magic that comes from the kitchen. The contents of the crate are very well made and durable and even comes with instructions to make the box it comes in into a play oven! On a scale of 1 to 5, I give the KiwiCo Baking and Fractions crate a perfect score of 5 cupcakes!Jim Miller
