These Heating Elements only last 6-12 months, I have bought 4 in the last 2 years. We now have a gas dryer and drying time is 1/4th the time and cost less $$ to operate.

Well...We almost made it a year. This went out again on Jan 29, 2025. I bought another one so we'll see how that one goes. I really don't want to have to replace this every year. We use this dryer a lot but still...Review from Feb 18 2024:Getting an error code E 64 on a Frigidaire Affinity dryer. The OEM part is almost six times the cost and the reviews are pretty much the same so I went with this one.Out of the box I was surprised by the quality. It's better than I expected and looks exactly like the OEM part I took out of the drier. This was a perfect fit. Pretty easy to replace of you're 'mechanically inclined' at all.One of the heating coils was out on the original. I checked the other two and they are within the factory specification (which is 28K Ohms - measured 27.2K Ohms). I checked the new one and it measures the same 27.2K Ohms each.I've only run the dryer for two loads but it seems to be working fine with no error codes.I did not use the included sensors as the reviews weren't too kind to them. I just reinstalled the original ones since there was nothing wrong with them.Longevity seems to be an issue with this one as well as OEM replacements so I'll try to update this review if it goes bad.

Just ordered my third replacement. The previous two have worked for 6 to 8 months and then fail. Element overheats and warps. Not sure if it's my dryer or venting or just the element but the factory one lasted for 8 years. Still cheaper than buying a new dryer and I've become an expert at replacing it.

Its a job to install this kit the first time. You have to pretty well dismantle your dryer completely. After I had the dryer apart and examined everything, it seemed clear I only needed a new heating element. But, I installed the included thermostat and fuse as well. It turned out the new fuse failed after a few uses. Its a good thing I saved the old fuse just in case, so I could get the dryer back into operation fairly quickly. I had to take the dryer apart again.... Like most mechanical repairs, the second time went much faster. I contacted the seller to say the fuse they sold me was defective. They immediately sent a replacement! You can't go wrong with this seller, although it remains to be seen if the heater and thermostat will last. They looked identical to the OEM parts that were originally in the dryer. I am very pleased with this transaction.

ETA - STILL GOING STRONG ALMOST 2 YEARS LATER!!!I have a front loader Electrolux dryer that is a 2008. The heating element finally went out (code 64) and I hated to call a repairman out because that gets expensive. I researched and found what the code was and then saw OEM parts were expensive, like twice the cost of this or more. I found this one on Amazon and decided why not give it a try. I purchased Dec 6 2022 and it was delivered quickly. I watched many videos online and then decided to replace my heating element myself. It was super easy to install and has been working great since I put it in. It’s been 1.5 months of anywhere from 3-10 loads of laundry a week. My dryer is drying better than it has in years!!! I can’t be sure on longevity but I plan to update seeing as some say theirs only lasted a couple months.

Love the fact that they included the thermal limiter and thermostat. paperwork included links to youtube instructional video. took me close to an hour to complete, first day works great. seen some reviews about the short lifespan, will keep updated if that happens.

Bought 9/21/21 worked good up until today! They only offer a 30 day warranty/ refund . I tried to contact seller and NO LUCK! So I called Amazon because its a seller of the company and again NO LUCK!!! Couldn’t even get a replacement! Heating elements SHOULD LAST YEARS! Especially with it being just my husband and myself. We do laundry about twice a week. So it doesn’t get used much. It’s a shame that AMAZON wouldn’t even make it right and they stand behind a company that obviously doesn’t have a good rep. When I bought this it had good reviews then I get back on here today and see nothing but negative. If they are good it’s been with in last few months but they will soon find out! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY ‼️ They have a 30 day warranty which by the time the element goes out (which seems to be 6-8 months) you are SCREWED‼️😤😤😤
