The laundry scent does permeate the area but the dehumidifier is effective. It does have to be manually turned on so it needs to be accessible after installing.

I'm living a nightmare with this dehumidifier. It was supposed to make my life easier by reducing the humidity, but it's only made it worse. It doesn't work, and I'm now dealing with a musty smell throughout my house.

Review: Kiss Core Upgrade 4-in-1 Indoor Dryer VentThe concept behind this device is solid, but in practice, it falls short. The unit I received barely accumulated any humidity or water during or after the drying cycle, just a few drops at most. Meanwhile, a separate dehumidifier in the same space collected a significant amount of moisture, proving that the air still held plenty of humidity. The built-in filters are very basic and nowhere near HEPA quality, so it doesn’t serve much purpose as an air filter either. While the idea of an indoor dryer vent with dehumidification sounds promising, this product doesn’t deliver on its claims. At a much lower price point, it could be an interesting novelty, but for what it costs, it’s ultimately ineffective and not worth the investment. If it was $20 I would have given it 4 stars. The price point is just not justified. I don't normally review items unless they are really good or really bad. This one is just priced to high to not let others know about it's failures.

Seems like a good little unit. Has an actual dehumidifying plate inside that only turns on when needed. This is why it needs the plug.Has a drain line to constantly drain it instead of needing to empty the tray.It only has Fahrenheit for temp though. Not Celsius. No way to switch it over that I can see.Boooo, thumbs down. The drain line is only around 120cm so you’ll probably need to get a longer silicone hose if you want to constantly drain it. Diameter of 10mm.The drain line is also connected high in the water tank so most of the water will just sit there collecting all kinds of yucky. Probably a good idea to drill a hole in the bottom of the reservoir and put a barbed fitting in there so the entire tank drains - and dries out.Overall seems like a good unit. Needs Celsius though.

I wanted to reroute the heat coming from my dryer back into my laundry room because it was an add-on buy the last homeowner and they did not run heat vents into it. This created a large “ “arctic “ zone that pushed cold air into the den every time you opened the door. This was extremely easy to mount, just a couple of screws and then plug it in. It monitors the humidity level of the air coming from the dryer and adjusts itself accordingly to obtain an optimal level of about 30%. I like that you can turn it off on days that you are not doing laundry (saves money on your energy bills). Now my laundry room has become part of my home heating system. Again another savings on your energy bill! It’s a win win! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to reduce wasted energy (all the heat being pushed outside instead of reducing the energy your heating system uses).

We used to have a non-venting washer/dryer combo, but it started taking longer and longer (sometimes up to SIX HOURS!!!) to dry a simple load of laundry. We had the dryer vent professionally inspected and cleaned as good as they were able to, but they discovered that part of the vent up inside the wall going towards the roof was smooshed and would cost a couple thousand to repair it (not to mention having to repair drywall in our condo as well as our upstairs neighbor's!). We don't have that kind of money (and didn't want to cause trouble with/for our upstairs neighbor either), so we looked at alternatives. That's when we came across this little gem! Oh my gosh... it works like a dream for us!It was so easy to set up. The hardest part was clamping it to the vent hose... and only because of all the sharp edges on it. Otherwise, it's as easy as screwing a clamp on and clicking it in place. We opted not to hang it on the wall, but rather got a tall cabinet that sits right by the stacked washer/dryer and set it on top of that. There's good ventilation all around, so no worries there. And, it sits on its own too.I was afraid it would warm up our condo a LOT, but it really only warms it up maybe 4-5 degrees. I just turn on the central air for a bit and it cools it right back down. We'll see how it does this summer (I'm in Arizona where it gets up over 110 degrees F).As for drying time... We tested the dryer using the smooshed vent line and it took about an hour and a half to get everything dry (and that was after taking shirts and underwear out early). The first time using this dehumidifier vent, I set the dryer for 60 minutes and everything was dry. The next time, I set it for 50 minutes... all dry. I've set it as low as 40 minutes and, depending on which bath towels I washed (we have some that are a little thicker and heavier than others), everything has been dry. The sweet spot for loads with the heavier bath towels seems to be 50 minutes. That's impressive for us considering they would take 1.5 or more hours in the non-venting washer/dryer combo... and occasionally, for unknown reasons, would sometimes take up to 6 hours to wash and dry completely. The filter catches a LOT of lint. I never actually knew THAT MUCH lint left the dryer. That's scary. If we hadn't had our dryer vent inspected and "cleaned" out, we may have just used it as is and assumed the dryer itself took a long time to dry... and potentially had a serious fire hazard on our hands. But, with this dryer vent, we can SEE how much lint there is and it'll always be clean and lint-free. That gives us more piece of mind. We do wish that we could find replacement filters for this unit. I've searched Amazon and have not found any yet. I reached out the seller but never heard back from them. I found a roll of the same material that I plan to order and cut my own from. I guess that will save us money in the long run too.Don't freak out the first time you use it... you will have a bit of smell from it. But, that went away pretty quickly for us. We have noticed a bit of dust up on the shelf where it sits. That's easy enough to wipe off.It hasn't really collected much water yet, but any collected is better than none. We have an actual room dehumidifier nearby if the air start to get too moist. We like that it shows the room temperature and humidity level as it runs.Overall, this dryer vent is expensive - especially compared to the more simply designed interior venting options out there, but it's well worth it in our opinion. It's not just "venting" into a silly little bucket full of water that you have to constantly babysit.

The Kiss Core is an affordable dryer vent dehumidifier/lint trap that works efficiently & silently. The unit relies on sensors to regulate itself, so it alternates between damping down over-moist vs efficiently passing dry exhaust. So far very happy with this contraption that keeps our laundry room from getting festooned with dusty lint or feeling sub-tropical (underwater). The dehumidification kicks in when it's needed. Let's be real: the outer housing's plastic, but thus far (week 4) the Kiss-Core virtually runs itself, zero irritating rattles or evidence of design / assembly shortcuts or flaws. Fingers crossed it holds up through upcoming transition seasons.

We have a basement laundry room. We had a long (fire hazard) vent installed by the previous home owner. It was astonishing how much lint was built up on the walls of the hose! We purchased one of the can/water type but it doubled the dust in our house. I ordered this one not expecting much difference but so far, we are very pleased with how it works. I like that the dust level is so much better and that we do not have the humidity dump into the basement. Glad I bought this one!
