I have only used one of the Ogee bits on about 6 linear feet of poplar. The cut is nice and I can happy with the quality for the price.

I have some very expensive carbide bits, but I was limited as to shape choice. Now I have a much greater selection and so far, after using several of these bits, I am very impressed with their sharpness and durability. The box is a little cheap, but us woodworkers like to make our own boxes anyway. I would rather have the quality in the bit rather than the box. I like these very well for the price.

Only tried out a couple of the bits with a plunge router so far, so I cannot comment on the durability/longevity of the bits though I saw no issues thus far. I did scorch a little bit of wood and no heat bluing on the bit, but didn't really scorch the wood for a long period either. To be picky, the outer box is nice, but the rows are cheap wood with a yellow plastic that shows what the cut would look like. I like the idea, but the ink on the yellow plastic rubbed right off. The red backing in the photo is just 3 small strips of glued on fabric. The whole wood rows just come out rather than rotating. That being said, now that I have these bits and other wood working tools, I can make some better rows with pins/dowels in the side for rotation, and take a picture of the bits, invert them, print & laminate and get the useful cut look back. I may replace the red backing with a 1/4 foam layer or something, so many options now lol.

Good starter set with most things you'll need. The only extras I've bought besides this is a 2 1/2" straight for edging and a key hole bit. I think overall, this set is a great value. The box is ok. The latches are poor quality and the metal bends pretty easy in my hand. That said, if you treat it gently it does its job.

I'm not a contractor, I'm a DIY'er. For my purpose, I see little point to buying router bits that cost as much for a single bit as this entire set costs. These fit the bill for having a lot of options, with blades that stay really sharp in my moderate use of them. This pack is a great value, I'd re-buy these in a heartbeat if the set was lost or stolen.

I've used a couple of these as a test, but haven't gotten down to any heavy projects yet. They appear to be 'quality' bits. The hold of their sharp edge is the real tell-tell feature, and only time will tell on that. At least it's a lot of bang for the buck. The thing about packages like this is you get a lot of goodie, but end up only using a few of the bits. I'd like to see a package of 30 (or whatever number) with the customer selecting the bits they want. And still a good price. Doubt if that happens.

I was stunned by both selection choices and the costs associate with router bits. Being new to router ownership, I finally settled on this boxed set and am delighted. It provides a very useful and diverse selection of bit at an attactive price and the box they are packaged in is superior for looks, durability and ease of selection. The bits are sharp and well-formed and cut precisely as presented. -
