Pins are dense bone. Nut and bridge makes these a good deal

This little kit is fantastic for anyone wanting to either replace their nut, bridge, and pins, or if you're planning on making your own guitar. These seem to the be same size as one of my Takamine guitars, though one of them has a longer bridge. Everything is smooth and seems very well made. These do seem to be real bone, also. I'm quite happy with this product and can recommend it!

I chose the cocobolo to match my pau ferro bridge, mostly for aesthetics, as bridge pins don’t really make a tonal difference; ideally you want less weight so the soundboard vibrates the freest, meaning a good quality set of plastic pins (you can get nice aesthetic options for those if you search enough) is the way to go.Some people don’t like plastic, however, so it’s nice these are available. If you don’t want to sand, that’s fine, the pin doesn’t have to sit flush to work. If you use that guitar enough, the pin will eventually widen the slot on its own and sit flush. The bridge and saddle are a nice inclusion. The bridge pin puller is kinda useless; when restringing, remove the string from the tuner peg, and then push the string’s far end down past the bridge pin. That will loosen the bridge pin (no more tension) so you can remove it. :)Packaging could use more protection, but mine arrived fine.
