I guess it is a good thing I got it as (mostly) decoration, this isn't a singing bowl in the regular sense. You can't make a tune in the normal way, instead, you hit it gently with a ball and listen for a few seconds until it dies away. It makes a very nice sound, but very short-lived.At the same time, it looks super cute next to the "mummy & daddy" bowls on the shelf next to this baby bowl. So I am very happy with it.

You’re not gonna be able to get a ringtone out of this like you do the larger bowls and even some of the smaller ones. It comes with a flail like ball which is almost impossible to control compared to the wooden rods that most of them use. I tried to use a small wooden stick to make this ball ring but it’s just not of the correct proportions to create a overturning resignation like an actual singing bowl. It will still ring if you hit it but you won’t get any harmonics. And it’s just not practical though it is adorable. It’s very cute and would normally make a nice conversation piece except the wooden base on mind is really ugly looking. I got unlucky and they used the nastiest piece of wood for my base YMMV.
